how the heck do u even get past chapter 3 when the 1st set of monsters attack? asking cause tried multiple timed but died everytime

i finished chapter 1 but before i could stop going to chapter 2 i found objectives i missed that the game didnt tell me abount before and when i did the hospital for chapter 2 i tried to give the guy the meds but the game screwed me over and forced me to use them instead PLS FIX...

how do u deal with the random monster attacks in this game? jw cause im legit wondering how to keep my ppl alive so i can actually progress and theres no blocks afaict from chapter 1 that make a wall worth a dang yet
