This is one of the best Star Wars games, beaten only by its sequel in some aspects.

It's too bad this game has been left to rot in 4:3 fixed-resolution hell. The fact that the mobile port of this game for iPhone and Android has better aspect ratio support than the PC version is a travesty, along with the fact that same company updated KotOR 2 for PC but not KotOR 1.

This PC version can be modded to run in 16:9 aspect ratios with relative ease, but fan-made UI mods will need to be downloaded which tend to aim for for resolutions between ~1600x900 and 2560x1440. 3840x2160 has issues with small text and poorly made UI mods that rarely line up with the mouse cursor, and 1366x768 either crashes or makes all text invisible. 1920x1080 is the sweet spot with a "HUD Correction" mod from PCGamingWiki that doesn't have weird cutoffs in the artwork.

If you don't want to spend time modding a game to get it looking acceptable on your modern display, just get the mobile port and play it on a tablet, it's really a much smoother experience on something like an iPad.
