Once you upgrade your computer and go around all the installation problems, bugs with new world updates and compatibility with 3rd party mods you can enjoy a phenomenally looking simulator. Getting lost in the world.
Moments to remember when you're above Venice Beach at sunset, listening to some nice jazzy and a whiskey or doing hundreds of landing challenge to pass your previous score and train that muscle memory.

It's an incredible technological marvel. Never though I would enjoy a simulator that much. I'm new to this hobby but I already build a cockpit with force feedback yoke, pendular rudders, radios and everything I need to be prolific when I will do it in real life.

Thank you Asobo :D
When it works it is perfect!

More about the compability issue that is making the game crash here. Steam does not allow wall of text comments: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/1250410/discussions/6/3101264555068108440/

Extra Problem:
🅞 The simulator does not close properly on Steam due to LogiMicrosoftFlightSimulator.exe (the application is closed but my avatar still shows that I'm playing). Ending the task will eventually close the game properly

Game works fine now but the game crashes due to my peripheral drivers.
🅞 Starting the game with both the Bravo Quadrant and the Logitech Switch Panel unplugged with crash the game in the start screen. Both these drivers/processes start with the game (Honeycomb Bridge Module and LogiMicrosoftFlightSimulator.exe)

🅞 Ending the LogiMicrosoftFlightSimulator.exe task while in the loading screen will make the application become unresponsive and then crash

🅞 Ending the Honeycomb Bridge Module task (from the Task Manager) in loading screen will finally make the app stop crashing while the devices are not plugged in and finally get to Main Menu

🅞 After the Honeycomb Bridge Module task is ended and the game is in Main Menu, ending the LogiMicrosoftFlightSimulator.exe task will no longer crash the game

I don't currently own this game but I'm able to play VR games on ultra by adding virtual memory to my fastest drives. I add between 5 GB to 8 GB of virtual memory to supplement my systems 16 Gb of ram. You can add more if you need to in order to help offload some of the graphics and background apps memory requirements to your virtual memory.

Best results gained from setting up virtual memory on SSD and NVMe drives. Don't recommend it on mechanical drives unless you don't have an alternatives. I also turn off VSYNC when possible, use FXAA and configure anti-aliasing to either 4x or 8x. Some say TAA is better but it's more resource demanding so it's up to you depending on what your system can handle.

I also turn off SteamVR home and just have the basic SteamVR menu come up. My SteamVR overlay is set to low to maintain system resources free for gaming.

@Boom Erang Used to work perfectly fine for me too. I actually found some screen recordings I took some weeks ago and the framerate was buttery smooth. Downloading it again on the MS Store to confirm if the framerate problem happenes due to the world update or this is how my PC reacts to running MFS through Steam. I have a suspicion it could be caused by the Steam overlay (even though I disabled it countless times in my tests)

It's my 4th install in the past week. 650GB... Good I live in an area with good internet speed and no download limits.

Same setup works good for me.
