Carrion left me yearning for more of the same gory reverse horror action. The game is relatively short, compensating it with a fun gameplay. I eagerly wait for a sequel or a DLC. in the meantime, the modding community will provide me with some good butchery.

I had gotten this game for free on epic a while ago and started and finished the game only recently. Game was so good, I had to buy the steam version for the achievements. One of the best games I have played so far, the story had me hooked the entire time. The collectibles added so much to the game and elevated the story even more. It is a nice way of conveying lore in an interactive manner to the players instead of dragging dialogues to the length, really kept the game fresh and interesting. There is so much to discover even after the game "ends". I recommend control wholeheartedly.

I love everything about the game. No flaws, great story, sometimes challenging yet very fun puzzles. GladOS did nothing wrong.

This game is not everyone´s cup of tea, but it grows on you. When I first played the game I did not really enjoy it due to my bad timing and precision, I kept dying continuously. After a few months I revisited the game, because why not. I tried to not take myself too seriously and since then I enjoy it much more. The game used to feel like a chore but it became a fun challenge to find your way through different sections. Good for calm yet stubborn people who see difficulties as challenges. Might take a while until you get to like the game if you are patient enough. Playing this game with a controller or Steam Deck will make the experience so much more comfortable.

Early Access Review
Cons:

- Awkward map design: Unnecessary platforms leading to nowhere/insignificant platforms leading to the same place as another does within proximity, insignificant platforms that have no real use in the map aside from decoration, visually overfilling the map.

- You tend to go in circles because of the way the map was designed, you search for the next area but end up walking to the place you were 5 mins ago.

- Badly translated sentences, use of language feels strange and unnatural. You will encounter broken English at times.

- Save points are rare. Combined with the map design it is a real pain in the bum to navigate through the game. You fear dying, then being forced to find your way to the section you want to go again, not remembering where it is and where you should go.

- You can´t hit enemies the moment they are out of screen. Bosses included.

- I can´t say much about the plot, because I haven´t been that far in to judge, but as far as I noticed the story progression feels mediocre. The character does not wonder much or question the situation she is in, you get skills, spirits and such without any explanation as to why you get them (in comparison to Ori). Kind of makes the storytelling unnatural and robotic to me. It has a lot of dialogue and tells the story instead of "show not tell".

Pros:

- Visuals are cutesy, vibrant, flowy and pretty. Looks like much effort was put in.

- Many elements were inspired from Ori, such as combat skills and visuals, certain character roles (Loy compared with Sein for example), which I personally appreciate because I like Ori and it is gracefully done :>

- Works charmingly with the Steam Deck. No issues encountered, controls are already correctly set.

- I can not really decide if I should recommend Glimmer in Mirror or not. I see a lot of potential within this game, but it needs to be polished in different ways, which makes me think that it was a wise decision to make this game early access. so feedback can flow into development.

I do not recommend this game in the state it is now, but will give thumbs up anyway to support the developers.
