In the recent update you've announced reworked matchmaking rating system, but what we actually have is medals instead of numbers, with the same meaning. There were some problems at beginning, and a lot of people are unpleased with the way NEW MMR works.

There is no new MMR system, there are medals instead of numbers with the same meaning, and certainly six-month season with no sense at all.
There is no system of commends(they're useless themselves), there is no COMPETETIVE system in the new MMR at all.

VALVE is a really large company which does have an opportunity to make ABSOLUTELY new and WORTHY MMR. Please, do not spit in your players' faces.
