Back in the day, the ability to go to exotic European, American and Asian countries, hop into a stock yellow Lamborghini Diablo SV and drive alongside a dreamy Coastal Forest, to race in the snow with your fellow racers dodging AI, and finding out you've broken the speed limit more times than you care to admit, is what this game aims to bring back.

But before I address that, I just want to get out of the way and say that if you have played the original but DO NOT intend on playing any multiplayer in this game, then this "Remaster" is probably not for you and I'd only pick it up on a dirt cheap sale. But if you're like me and cannot get enough of its multiplayer, then you will get your money's worth. Back in 2010 when Hot Pursuit was announced and released I begged my dad to get it for me as I grew up on the classic Need for Speeds. I lived and breathed playing Hot Pursuit 2 on my lousy Windows XP laptop and I couldn't get enough of the cop chases and exotic cars.

So when this game was revealed and I saw it was an updated "remake" in the spirit of the classic Need for Speeds I played the hell out of, I knew this was an insta-go getter from the first thing! I'm not gonna drag this out much longer, my hours in this game speak for my opinion, but I'll just say, don't let the negative reviews around the "Remaster" aspect put you off if you haven't played the game before or want to experience its multiplayer again, on a good sale day it's well worth the money to just relive the classic NFS experience, both offline and online.
