Anyways, yes most HP Lovecraft writings are short stories with some novellas but all set with a common background theme/setting. There have also been various collections by various authors set in the 'cosmos'.
Beyond that Im going to guess yet another non-native english speaker writing a review in english. While it does, mostly, make sense, it''s a painfully awkward read.
That would be like saying "Peter Jackson's The Hobbit is based on the works of John Tolkien".
