10/10 would recommend

This Game is a remarkable upgrade over Hades 1 in every aspect.
In its current Status in Early Access, this beats 99% of fully priced so called v1.0 of games out there.
The Story is amazing, the soundtrack absolutely slaps.

Why do i rate this as not recommended then? Purely due to DEI. Most gods are race swapped.
The goddess of Love's appearance has been nerfed. And the biggest kicker is The Greek God Of Blacksmiths is made Fat and on a fckin wheelchair!! (cuz Diversity you know???) FFS.

I will still continue to play this game and cannot wait for v1.0, but its unfortunate that SuperGiant have made the above mistake with Hades 2 where as with Hades 1 the mistake they made was making the game Epic ♥♥♥♥♥ Store Exclusive During Early Access

Pros:

eye candy
music slaps

Cons:
it just feels so janky, especially considering its by the makers of dead cells. Everything feels so slow and it feels like my inputs are only registered a second or so later. Not fun at this moment in time.

No Regional Pricing, i am appalled to see that this game costs the same in my region as it does in the United States. 0 Regional pricing

Hope the above are addressed and the game becomes fun over its EA period, but for now i will be refunding this.

EDIT.

Got around to trying this game over the past few days. This is the last patch before 1.0 in August 2025, and i must say its so much more polished now.
Ubisoft, you should probably allow other companies to handle your IPs like in this case as i think they do a far better job at delivering a good game that isnt riddled with stupid DRM and MTX.
The story in this game is half decent too.

This is Dead Cells but with a PoP Skin. The parkour handles so much better now.
Looking forward to the 1.0 release.

Once again i sign off my review by saying the music absolutely slaps, ASADI did a brilliant job.

I can't believe that people are hating on a free tech demo. This was a short but awesome demo.
I can't wait to see the team's take on epistle 3.

PS: The outro music has no reason to slap that hard!

Probably was good when it came out, but playing now i feel its no good.
Too monotonous and really un-fun and brutal on greater difficulties
