今作はLife is Strangeの前日譚であり、前作プレイ済みであることが前提の内容です。
クロエとレイチェルの苦悩や青春を中心に、デイビッドやフランクとの絡みも描かれています。
前作を楽しめたなら、今作も非常にオススメです。
ちなみに、十数時間でクリア（ボーナスEP含め）でき、実績コンプも簡単です。
