If you play with friends it can make the game okay to play, but frankly the game itself is not any good. I have played better free to plays.

Sometimes the levels are just straight up broken. I did the last level and could not find a single key to open the many locked doors after fine tooth combing though every single room and hallway, even looking in areas that normally have nothing in them. My only conclusion is that all the keys spawned behind locked door making the level actually impossible.

Really cool game, and it is miles better with a team or 4. I like the levels design and the spooks are well done.

So the game is really fun, and I had fun playing it. However I feel like it wont take very much longer at all to finish the game and I have only played 2.5 hours with some friends. It needs more content.

Also you can fill up the tavern with a ton of tables to get a ton of people. But the kitchen is only so big, you cant make the farm bigger, can only buy a small amount of animals before unable to buying any more, and the pass only can hold so many dishes.

Also exploring is okay but most of the world is empty besides some monsters.

I find this game very fun. I think having at least 5 players is really needed but good fun can be had with 4. The game is much lighter in a good way. Games like amoungus players would just take things way to personally. Being forced to fire someone means fights happen actually less. Granted players who still cant help taking things personally will get upset but just dont play with them lol. I will say you have to screw with the lobby settings quite a lot but its good to have all the options.

As far as I can tell the update has fixed the problems I have with the game, I have not played enough to say it fixed everything but they have fixed so much and made coop way better.



Old:
So this game is very cool, I like they way the do magic, the realm building is cool, granted they do look more the same than not but its fun using the cards the do stuff like make the sky red and junk. There is enough content to keep you busy for the price tag. At time of the review I know im not done with the quest yet and I see more coming. The building is good and there are a lot of items and a decent about of structure types (ie wall types). Combat feels good.

HOWEVER, right now there is a strict build limit on how many items you can make per realm. And its easy to hit that limit once you start getting a lot of blueprints if you are the only one on the realm. But if you want to coop on the same realm and build more than once base you will hit that limit so fast there is no room for decorating what so ever. Until this is fixed im leaving this as a down vote as coop and base building are pillers of the game and yet they dont work together.

So this game really is a gem. But has some very serious problems that make my vote a down vote.

1. The game is very complicated and yet has barely helps the player at all. The only way I could learn to play well is to YouTube a detailed play though and follow along.
2. There are a lot of stats that are poorly defined or the numbers seem meaningless. ie I know +20% initiative is good but its it really good? kind of good? and what is the base number?
3. Sometimes a front lines and attack orders get broken for no reason. My troops push and part of the front line on the edge just breaks so the stop defending it. Very annoying and if not watched could mean the lose of a war.
4. Why do a I notification that there is a naval invasion in a country that is on the other side of the world but I sometimes dont get one for my own border?
5. All the overpriced dlcs
6. For the love of god why does the game not tell you when you are being naval invaded or tell you when you are losing lots of territory because one of the front lines broke.

Again, there is a gem here, just hard to see it sometimes.
