I grabbed this on sale for $2.59, so keep that in mind when I say that I'd have paid more if I were more sure about the game. I didn't know too much, but it looked kinda fun despite the mixed reviews. A lot of the points made are valid, and I agree with most of them.

Bloodhound itself is about 8-10 hours in length. From chapter to chapter you spawn, fight a wave in a tight location, repeat. Find keys or solve random puzzles here and there to advance. Battle a boss once in a while. That's it other than the retro graphics DLC which is a nice nostalgic touch/

The big problem, however, ends up being the difficulty. I usually just run medium, but got bored at how fast I was flying through it, so i started a new campaign on hard. That was medium imo. Sure there were some mobs with cheap hits or large enough in number to kick my ass once or twice, not to mention the final boss Astaroth with its one hit kill ♥♥♥♥ you attack (stick to the walls and keep grabbing armor), but for the most part this was a bit too accessible for me.

I wanted a challenge. I barely got one other than fighting the urge to exit the game againt the final two bullet sponges called bosses. But as a casual experience, I really didn't mind it. I kind of agree this may not satisfy the more hardcore of us at $13, but I'd be satisfied with the experience if I threw down $8-10 considering I sunk 15 hours into this wrzpping up the campaign znd grinding kill related achievements. So if you enjoy arena fps type games, consider giving this a shot when on sale at least.
