143 Hours played
Honestly, I don't think I can recommend this game enough. It is one of my favorite games of all time and was Game of the Year for 2015. I played through it a bunch since it came out on all different difficulties and just enjoying creating new squads and enjoying the entire run, dialogue, music, and episodes every time. I ended up uninstalling the game not because I was tired of it, but because I knew I would just want to go back and relive the story over and over. 143 hours I think I have spent my fair share of time enjoying a single game alone, so in order to let it go I had to uninstall it.

As a quick overview this game has limited character/squad creation, rpg mechanics, and turn based stratagy. Plus an mangement system when outside of combat. All these things really stand out as selling points for me, which is why I love it so dearly. But, if I had a choice I would change somethings and have more depth to the character creation and customazation through out the game. What's there is perfectly acceptable, but I know it might be a turn off to not be able to pick every minor facet of your characters/squad. With that if RPG mechanics without grinding doesn't appeal to you then you may also want to pass, on harder difficulties no grinding means redoing a sequence multiple times to find an optimal way to complete it and can get rough if you did not outfit your squad with good enough gear. And with the turn based strategy, if you dislike having to spend a ton of time reading the battle map before making a single move, this too may not be for you. After playing something like, Into the Breach(a more recent turn based strategy), Chroma Squad lacking a reset button or reset movement if no action was taken feels rough. It is normal affair for turn based strategy to not have any resets so if making mistake or misclicks that give you undisired results while not being able to just go back a step to fix it bothers you, you may find parts of this game frustraiting.
With all that said, those would all be pros for me but I can understand others not being able to get into the game because of it. But still is a fun ride for story, music and mangement stuff. The game allows you to change difficulty at any time, so feel free to enjoy it at your own pace. I am sure most people will enjoy it as I have.
