Early Access Review
If I had two words to describe this game, they would be beautiful and frustrating.

Game is graphically amazing. The world is beautiful. Gameplay is decent to good.

Frustrations:
1) I just quit out because I'm just kind of bored with the game, realized I forgot to hit save first, and my game and progress is all gone now. Woops. An hour of progress gone. There's no save and quit option. You just have "save" and "quit". Don't forget!
2) Resource gathering is frustrating and random. You need tons of copper to make CPUs, because they are used for EVERYTHING, but there's basically a 1 in 3 chance of it dropping from the node that drops it. Feeling lucky?
3) There's no map function. Yes, my guy has a computer tablet and all this high technology, but nope, no map. We want you to explore. We want to the world to feel bigger than it is. Hope you can mentally map multiple kilometers of undersea territory.
4) While you're trying to keep track of the world with no map, you can make beacons but they take the aforementioned CPUs. Have fun with that. Meanwhile, all kinds of terrible things are chasing you, so good luck keeping your bearings, while "Warpers" pull you out of your vehicle and murder you.
5) The world has no guns, because some poorly thought out excuse about a massacre happening or some such. Yes, horrible underwater brain creatures will pull you from your vehicle and ruin your day, have fun with your "propulsion cannon" or "statis gun" or whatever.
6) No difficulty setting: I'm fine if you make a setting and call it pathetic moron, and give me a map and a gun, and make materials reasonably easy to find.
7) Bugs. I know, I know, early access. I have been scanning things, and it says I need to scan 3, but I scan 4, and it says I'm 0 of 20 pieces. So much for getting a prawn suit. Filled out a developer submission 2 days ago, never heard back.

This game is so neat and I want to play it, but it's so disrespectful of your time. It feels like a game that has like 10 or 20 hours of content, which is FINE, but the problem is, they basically try to stretch it into a 50 or 100 hour game, by making everything obnoxious and tedious. It takes forever to gather things, there's no map, navigation is a nightmare, things don't work, etc.

It's a shame, because I'd love to just spend my 20 hours playing through the game, leave a positive review, and maybe play it on a harder difficulty later. The world is beautiful, but it's lost in how miserable it is to try to do anything in the game.
