10 hours in and I'm not sure what people aren't liking about this game, the exploration is good, the combat is good, and the setting and lore just makes it even better.

Very interesting and good game, only down falls are that some maps make it so you can entirely just sit on top of places and the monster can't follow you, though for example one of them spawns mobs that attack you, they can follow you but the main monster cant which is weird.

The other is that the final "purification/banishment" or whatever you want to call it is quite underwhelming. The monster also haunts you until it properly gets spawned by opening the tomb, however every type has the same model, it needs some variety, maybe random so it doesn't give away the type of monster.

Other than that I really enjoyed playing this game, not very repeatable until there they change what I've mentioned previously.

If you are getting this with the expectation of playing a multiplayer story, DONT. Multiplayer does not have any story missions and is just a sandbox mode that you can't fully progress in. Even though they are heavily advertising the multiplayer mode, it is not something you can actually complete. You only have the co-op commissions and the co-op workshop, and that's pretty much it. I'm not sure how they are even able to advertise this as a multiplayer game.

I copied this review as this pretty much summed up why I bought the game - me and 2 other people bought this in hope to play this multiplayer but the game just feels lifeless without any story behind anything.

I love this game, not played it for too many hours, but still enjoy it.

The fact that I have to pay nearly £100 to get past a paywall to get access to updates that have come in (The supporter edition get updates 2 weeks to a month before anyone else), when I'm already supporting a early access game by even buying it? These updates should be accessible to all of your supporters, the people that buy your early access game are supporting your game, not just the ones that are willing to spend stupid money for EARLY early access?!?!?

Honestly most stupid thing I've ever heard from a game, especially from a early access game.

Mount & Blade: Warband has been out for just under 8 years now and it is still the most played game on my steam library. I've put 1k+ hours into this game through the singleplayer campaign, mods and mostly Napoleonic roleplay which is where most of my hours went into this game. The gameplay in M&B: Warband is very complex for such an old game and has many layers to it. The combat in this game is the best for any Medieval sandbox game except for the recent release of Kingdom Come Deliverance, this is the only other game which I could say that the combat system is slightly better.

I've been gone from this game for a while now but the community was awesome and always been active but do not know what it is like now, all I can say is once bannerlord comes out this game will lose a lot of active players.

This game is by far one of the most interesting total war games out there, with lore, missions, units and variety of races, legendary lords etc.

PROS:
- Best performance on release from most recent total war titles
- Can really get into your campaign by putting time into what you want your legendary lords to be good at and customize their equipment with items you receive from missions and battles.
- Unit variety is good, lots of choice when you first step into the game, there are also different versions of some infantry.
- Beautiful looking world and which can be changed by vampiric of chaos corruption.
- The main cities look really pretty, lots of difference between them and also very large in some cases.
- Can battle underground with Dwarves and Orcs, you can also use this to get away from your enemies if you get cornered.
- The beast units in this game are sick, watching them tear through he normal grunts in this game is so fun to watch.
- The graphics are good for a total war title, similar to previous games but with better performance.
- There is already a huge ammount of mods available that allow you to conquer the entire world.
- Magic in this game is very fun to use and pretty cool for blowing up ♥♥♥♥.
- Races such as dwarves are not able to travel very far on land but humans for example can, which adds a bit of realism.

CONS:
- Can only conquer certain territories belonging to certain races
- The beasts in the game are very overpowered and quite hard to bring down in some cases
- You don't have siege battles in minor cities/towns, it's just an open battle as if the enemy has just rallied out of their defence to fight you?
- Not very much choice of campaigns, only have 5 races where in previous titles there is pretty much no end to what campaigns you could try out - though I guess they will add FreeLC or DLC in the future with more races and possibly expand the map/create an entirely new one.

I'll be updating this review the more I play.

This game is beautiful on good settings, with a massive map and currently a even bigger map been released there is a large world to explore if its under the sea you'll get eaten by large swimming turtle carnivores or if its on land when you get killed by one shot by a giga. The building system is this game is ok, could be a lot better but other than that it's a very good system. The main disadvantages are that you can only really build on flat land if you don't want to spend a lot of resources and time building pillars etc. The taming system is very long and stressful which is why I usually stick to servers that speed that process up otherwise you'll be sat there for several hours (if not more) hours taming level 100+ dinos, but once you've one this its a good feeling, you have your very own dinosaur, even if its a large dodo army or the fastest running bear you'll even see.

Even with its ups and downs this game is excellent and very fun to play, I've even invested into m own server for my friends to play on. There default map is brilliant, and dangerous in each corner early game where you can easily be overwhelmed and killed at any point making the game very difficult at some points, so be warned, you will die! ALOT when you first start to play this, I know I did but once you get the feel for the game you'll learn what to do and what not do.

Overall I'll recommend this game who asks me about it. :)
