game sucks

a harrowing tale about an alternate timeline in which the planet succumbs to its own rage. the earth has been transformed into a wasteland, and any trace of humanity is gone.
in a desperate attempt to survive, scientists work hard to transfer the human consciousness into the ultimate life-form: a duck. with the success of this endeavor, the human race is left to waste as ducks begin life anew on this bitter heckscape.
soon enough, the twin factions of duck and goose begin to disagree on certain policies. while the ducks want a civilized and democratic order, the geese prefer the state of anarchy their kind once lived in. these debates lead to full-on war.
play as an elite soldier as you attempt to do as you are told: kill every enemy in sight. as the incredibly complex narrative deepens and new characters are introduced, you start to question the morality of what you've done.





pretty fun game

Enter the Gungeon is one of those games that makes you come back for more every time you die. Maybe it's the cute artstyle, the mountains of content, or the intense gameplay. Maybe it's that the game's core mechanics are fun. I personally think that it's because the game does not take itself seriously in any way. The guns range from basic stuff to completely outrageous. Everything is guns. All the bosses are gun-themed. Enter the Gungeon doesn't take anything seriously, which is a great distraction from all the brooding and dark triple-A full-price games. And it's only 15 dollars! I nominated this for Game of the Year. Go play it. Now.

I would want to check off the "meh" box, but there isn't one yet. I still had fun with it though.
I've only played a little bit of the game, but I can tell this:
Gameplay is still quite fun.
The developers have added a lot of polish to the game.
You cannot change the controls from WASD because 4-player is on one keyboard. Either this game was made for lefties or there's some other reason why I can't change the controls.
You also can't invite friends to private matches. Why? This is a feature in normal Timberman, but not here?
It's a good game from what I can tell, but don't expect as much shelf life as you can get out of Timberman 1.
