Should you buy it? It depends on if you're one of the people who takes pride in beating games with cheap game design like "narrow ledge with enemies shooting at you and if you get hit once you fall to your death, and also the ledge has an enemy that does a whirlwind attack that pushes you off, and also if you dodge at all your character will roll off." Do you want a soulslike that costs half what other ones do and feels like it? Do you like bosses that have delayed attacks with no telegraphing of when they're about to attack? Do you like doing a lot of platforming in a game that seemingly has little effort put into the controls FOR platforming?

I know a lot of you do! For some reason you seem to LOVE unfair or wonky game design in this specific genre, but hate it in any other genre. This game might be for you. I have a social life and also prefer giving my time to things that I enjoy, instead of suffering through things like the ledge scenario I mentioned just so I can smirk and tell other people to git gud.
I gave this game too much of my time and it reminded me how little I understand soulslike fans' obsession with boasting about beating games that were brutal and unenjoyable to beat.

It would be a really fun game if you could play it for more than 10 minutes without it closing, or rebooting your PC. Sometimes it makes it to the start screen, sometimes it just black screens and closes without even loading the game, sometimes it lets you play until you get to a cutscene and then it freezes. Nobody seems to know how to get this horribly-ported game to even LET you play it, but I regret paying $10 for it on sale. Don't buy it, don't trust the sequel to be playable, either play on console or not at all.

Like other reviews say, the story/cutscenes are so well done that this feels like an actual Indiana Jones movie. I would recommend it just for that. Even the puzzles and temples, etc. feel fitting for Indiana Jones movies.

I'm not thrilled about the system requirements (apparently it automatically does some level of ray tracing) but it's a very nice looking game, especially indoors and at night.

The combat is pretty fun but also pretty basic. You can pick up a lot of different items to hit people with: everything from toilet plungers to sledgehammers. BUT by the end of the game the novelty wore off for me. You have a stamina bar that goes down when you run or jump or attack. There are guns but their damage output is unpredictable, like I headshotted a guy twice in a row and he didn't even flinch. If you shoot, expect to get overrun with fascists shooting you.

Like I said, the biggest selling point is that this legit feels like a new Indiana Jones movie and not just a game where your character looks and sounds like him.

It's a fun game that imo is elevated by very good voice acting and graphics. Pretty easy tbh, the quick time events are hard to mess up and give you a long input time (I didn't mess up or miss a single QTE) . I enjoyed watching the characters interact so much that I'd be excited for a non-horror game by this team.

The story and world are fun, but the gameplay is too janky to recommend. Enemies will be above you and attack, and their attack clips through a wall or a platform or something solid and hits you. There's platforming but your character will hover at the edge of a platform like there's an invisible wall keeping him from landing on it. Sometimes you'll dodge an attack but the enemy just pauses, rotates and still hits you. But the next time they do the same attack, your dodge does work.
Every element of gameplay has these irritating problems that ruin what would have been a really fun and enjoyable game. I wanted to like it but I'd be punishing myself if I kept putting time into this janky, frustrating game.
Regardless, it just didn't grab me. I've gotten hooked on other janky games, but with this one I didn't feel any interest in playing more. It's generally a really well-liked game, so maybe you'd like it and think I'm an idiot lol.

It's a really interesting game where you're an android that's made for interrogating androids. Each interrogation is related to some aspect of the game world, and I think the variety of topics is what makes the game interesting. One was about a caretaker unit that had killed a government employee because its owner couldn't leave quarantine without a specific form, but to get that form they'd need to leave their home and go to the government office.

You start each interrogation with a list of questions you need to find answers to, and the interrogation ends with you giving your answers and recommending how the android should be dealt with. The company reviews your reports and increases or decreases your rating as an interrogator, so you might get punished for being sympathetic and blaming the company for an android's mistakes, etc.

The writing is solid, and I enjoy playing through a few "interviews" whenever I feel like it.

I’m honestly not sure why I’m not mad about changes they made, especially because this is a direct sequel to Inquisition. But it’s a fun game with beautiful graphics, and I do recommend it.
My biggest complaint is that prejudice just stopped existing since the end of Inquisition. Despite all the history between races, they’re all suddenly neutral. It’s such a bizarre choice considering it’s A DIRECT SEQUEL TO A GAME WHERE YOU HAD TO DEAL WITH DIFFERENT RACES HAVING GRUDGES AND PREJUDICE. They smoothed over anything from Inquisition that gave the game depth or nuance.
But I’m having fun despite bizarre choices like that.

It's a solid ending to the series. Well-directed and it almost made me cry.

Beautiful art style and it's a really good example of what this genre can be. As with any game, I'd recommend watching a stream or a gameplay video.

It's an interesting game that's fun if you're okay with watching the story unfold, then having bits of deduction. I really like that it takes place in Japan in different time periods. They make use of outdoors scenes too, so there's some great scenery.
The overall format is one where a woman reads accounts from people related to the plot, and imagines herself and other close people as the characters.
