Real damascus steel has carbon nanotubes that form during the cooling period of metal. Ultra-high-carbon steel has approximately 1.25–2.0% carbon content, use an Ultra-high-carbon steel and use a very high atomic purity copper in a 1-1 layered formation. Add 1 gram of ground charcoal between the layers and then fire in a forge at high heat. Only work the metal at cherry hot and maintain the colour throughout the working period. Quench in animal fat.
