- this review has been updated after the last event quest in MHRSB - STORY The story has never been the point of a Monster Hunter game (Capcom has a series literally called Monster Hunter Stories for that), so it’s no surprise that the one in Rise is as thin as tissue paper. Sunbreak story is way better than base game. NEW ADDITIONS Wirebugs - a bug you can use to escape the monster's attack and climb unreachable places and most importantly to use skills. Rampage Quests - a new type of mission about defending a place while a waves of enemies attacks you and you try to defend the gate. Palamute - a dog helps you to travel faster on the map and kill monsters. Scrolls - you can choose scrolls and assign different move sets to each one. Qurious Crafting - upgrading your gear by hunting infected monsters and there's a lot more i can't cover in this review. GAMEPLAY The gameplay was good and fast but the addition of the new "Wirebug" was good and bad at the same time! you may ask why? because you can escape the monster attack easily without any pressure and the travel distance was too far, but the other addition of using skills by consuming the wirebugs was good in my opinion, the palamute was great! I liked how he makes everything faster and he did help when you fight with "MHR" i can't choose palico over the palmute. CONCLUSION i did have fun with it and I also completed every Village Quest / Gathering Hub Quest / Event Quests 100% so yeah in less than 100h of gameplay so it has a good amount of things to do but you can't compare it with "MHW" Great game especially if you bought Sunbreak DLC STORY: 5/10 7/10 GAMEPLAY: 7/10 9/10 NEW ADDITIONS: 7/10 9/10 GRAPHICS: 7/10 - MONSTER HUNTER RISE SUNBREAK 8.5/10 -
