A love letter to RPG Maker fans, while quite possibly being the pinnacle of psychological RPG horror games.
OMORI is a story rich game with an unfathomable amount of charm in not only its art style but also in the way it expresses its ideas and topics of interest.

It's overworld and design choices give off Yume Nikki kind of vibes, which are definitely welcomed, and the game also takes a pretty unique twist on the turn based combat system by revolving it around the fighters' emotions and connecting the party's turns with personality filled follow up moves.
Even the most monotonous aspects of RPG styled games such as the backtracking, grinding or chore-like sidequests are compensated with the creative scenery and the eye and ear candy that are the art style and OST.

But for certain, the game's shining points are the story, the characters and all the little details. It's a must to play this game blind, to make sure the 20-25 hours of gameplay are cherished to the fullest. OMORI really is an unforgettable experience, and the less disclosure you have before going into it, the better.
