Feels like a game that would actually be in an arcade. Fast paced, challenging but fair, and a slew of items to unlock, each altering your play style. Collect drops on the way through the levels, like time extensions, power-ups, and extra lives. Once you get into a good groove, it flows very well.

There's also a level editor, and you can download other people's levels shared via the workshop. That alone extends the replayability by miles. Well worth the full price, which is actually pretty cheap.

This is my "Game of the Year", so far. Addictive, charming, simple but broad, and a worthy successor to Harvest Moon. Over 50 hours, and I keep learning and unlocking new things. Here's some of the things you can do in Stardew Valley...

- Farm
- Fish
- Mine
- Forage
- Talk to townsfolk
- Get married
- Customize and expand your house
- Raise animals
- Fight monsters
- Go against an evil corporation, or join them

There's still a lot more to discover on your own. I am constantly being wowed. There's nothing quite like this on Steam, at least nowhere near as good. If you like Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Rune Factory, or just relaxing/cute games, look no further.

Oh, and the developer (yes, one guy) actually LISTENS to his community, and is constantly working on patches. He's already snagged my "Dev of the Year."

So, if this gushing wasn't enough, there's PLENTY of other glowing reviews out there, and not just on Steam. $15 is pratically stealing it.

Doesn't look like what was advertised. The colors in-game are much brighter, and the black is actually an ugly gray. Not to mention the boost sound being pretty annoying.

To be clear: If you've never played a Fallout game and want this one to be your first, then you'll love it. If this isn't your first Fallout, then you might be disappointed. You might ask why I give it a "Not Recommended" when I have a little over 100 hours logged. These games are big, mind you. I felt I had to explore as much as possible before coming up with a final opinion.

For the first 10-15 hours, I was having a pretty good time. I liked the improvement of the combat, and thought layered armor was pretty neat. However, after the mentioned amount of time, I realized the game wasn't getting any better. The side-quests are forgettable, the writing is cliche, and the Commonwealth just isn't all that interesting. Still, I had hope. I kept exploring, kept finding quests, but ultimately came up short. Not even mods could keep me interested.

Eventually, new games released, and I took a break from this to play those. After trying to come back, I just felt like I didn't care, anymore. Even Skyrim kept me going for an additional 100 hours, and that isn't the strongest game, either. The world was more interesting, though.

Overall, Fallout 4 is disappointing to me, especially after New Vegas. It doesn't feel like Fallout. It feels like some weird creature dressed in a Fallout skin.

Loving every other "Saints Row" game, I thought this would be no different. I was wrong.

I feel like there's so much missed opprotunity, and the way they built the game seems like it was originally intended as DLC for SR4, rather than a stand-alone title. The missions are presented like activities you would do on the side, and the cutscenes don't have the same level of "umph" as the actual SR titles.

The flying part is fun, but that's honestly the only enjoyment I got out of it, but even that wore thin pretty quickly. The world is supposed to be hell, but you can't help but feel it's just Steelport with a red skybox and citizen NPCs are skin-swapped with tortured soul people or...whatever the hell they are.

If you MUST play it, then wait for a sale. Maybe $5 to $7 would be a better price.

Before "The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth", this was my go-to rogue-like game. Challenging with a slew of charm, "Spelunky" is well worth the time and investment.

Randomly generated levels ensures a new game every time. It's an interesting mix of taking your time, but also hurrying. Rush too much, and one false move could be your last. Take too much time, and the game will spawn a huge ghost that follows you, ending your run with one touch. Are you brave enough to explore the rest of the level with the ghost on your tail?

There's enough to learn to make you say "one more run."

I normally don't finish Metroidvania type games, as I tend to grow tired of them mid-way through, but I actually made sure I beat this one. That says a lot.

Stunning visuals, responsive control, fun gameplay mechanics, and a somewhat mysterious story. "Ori and the Blind Forest" shines in every way. Mostly.

There are finales to each section of the map that involve a lot of trial & error, which can lead to many retries and frustration. That aside, it's one of the best games of 2015.

There's a whole ton of reviews, already. So, I won't waste time going into immense detail, when there are others that have already done so. I just felt like writing a short "review."

I would say this is one of the greatest games of all time. This is coming froms someone who started gaming on the NES. I never get tired of it, at all. With what sometimes seems like countless items, and randomly generated maps, no game is like the last. Discover new synergies! Craft new strategies! Learn from your mistakes!

I only have one gripe: Unless you've followed the game before playing it, you'll have zero idea what the hell is happening. Some item descriptions give just barely enough information about what a certain item does, but a lot of them are incredibly vague and don't help at all. This has made me alt+tab out of the game on nurmerous occasions to look up items on the Isaac: Rebirth wiki. Thankfully, the game can alt+tab incredibly quickly. However, once you get to know what does what, you'll improve with each game. There's so much to unlock, too. You'll be unlocking things constantly.
It's also a great game to play for however long, stop, and pick-up where you left off.

Get it. You'll love it.

Being someone who never took the time to seriously sit-down with a city builder, Cities: Skylines is still a blast for beginners like myself. While I did dabble around a bit with previous SimCity titles, all the way back with the original, I would always just goof around for a few minutes before leaving the game. I'm so glad I gave this game a chance, because what a fun time it's been already!

Building residential, commercial, industrial, and even office zones, the whole idea to is just make a city! There's really no "right" way to build, though there are "better" ways. Still, finding those ways by yourself through learning is a rewarding experience. Want to make a small farming community? You got it! Going for a more mid-sized town? Go for gold! You want the magnificent skyscrapers that reach the clouds? Why, certainly! It's all up to you.

You're able to freely select different areas of your choosing, and set them as districts. With each district, you can control their own policies and laws. Ever wanted to legalize recreational drug use? You can totally do that. if that's not your thing, maybe you wish to provide free smoke detectors? Each policy comes with it's own benefits and maybe even some slight drawbacks. A great addition that keeps your city running exactly how you want it.

A very wonderful feature of Skylines is the support of mods. The game's Steam Workshop already has a slew of custom things for download. Buildings, parks, roads...you name it, and the workshop likely has it. Expect a whole bunch more user-created content as days go by! It doesn't stop as just physical items, either. Mods like camera controls with more freedom, better tree placement tools, getting rid of the Twitter-esque ticker known as "Chirpy", auto-save, color filters...the list goes on. Tweak your game like crazy!

Still not sure? Not interested in actually managing expenses and unlocking content as you play? Colossal Order has you covered. The game comes pre-equipped with a few mods made by the devs. Two of them letting you play as a full sandbox mode, being "Unlimited Money" and "All Unlocks." But perhaps you're more of a go-getter, and desire challenge. They have a "Hard Mode" mod as well! Everything is more expensive, so keep your finances strong!

There's just so much more I'd love to say and continue to gush, but I'm getting the itch to go back and play more! For $30, you're getting way more than your money's worth. With outstanding mod support, the replayability is unlimited. Oh, did I mention there's also a map editor for making your own regions, too? Because there totally is. Go make a city based on your a real city, or around a (inactive) volcano!

Bottom line, this game seriously rocks. Why are you still here? Go click the "Add to Cart" button, already.

Coming out of seemingly nowhere, Grow Home is a relaxing adventure in which you literally grow a home. To be precise, you grow a colossal plant from the surface, all the way up to your idle spaceship. Simply hop onto a red-ended "branch" of the plant and let it grow out, and even decide which direction it grows in on-the-fly. Your objective is to connect the plant to certian floating islands, so it may feed from their energy.

Along the way, you'll encounter glowing blue crystals, 100 of them to be exact. Collecting these crystals will earn you upgrades for your character, making it easier to traverse around the whimiscal environment. Be mindful, however! Sans just spotting them with your eyes, the only clue you get is a distinct shimmering sound when one is near. Making the journey to collect these is fun in itself.

That's basically it, and that's certainly not a bad thing. Grow Home shines in it's simplicity of gameplay and graphical design, jam-packed full of charm. There are some other things to discover, but I wouldn't want to spoil the fun. With a personal playtime clocked in at 4 hours, I felt the asking price was indeed worth it, and there's still some stuff left for me to find!

Totally worth playing, and family friendly. Grow Home has already become one of my favorites of 2015.
