If you buy the dlc I would disable them for your first play through they increase the difficulty a ton. But this is a great tactical combat game. And if you don't like tactical combat I'm not sure why you are even on this store page tbh.

I would recommend this to anybody who wants some turn based combat and RPG story trapped under a dome in the 1970's. Couple of bugs and some confusing bits, but overall a great experience I'm very happy I had.

We need a new Alpha Protocol game. If anybody reading this has the power to make that happen, you need to work towards that goal. Please and thank you.

The reason this game has lost 80% of it's players since release is because it is bad. It's a bad UI. It's got bad weapon damage balancing. It's got some bad auto aim based on your "skill" level. The PVP mode is mostly people in Brazil, which would be great if I lived anywhere near South America but I don't. So the lag is ridiculous a ton of the time with people in your squad and others actually rubber banding. Rubber banding in a game in 2023. What the ♥♥♥♥. And don't even get me started on how many bugs the game has! Random crashes to desktop or complete computer shutdowns are the worst, for a lot of people, but even the "benign" stuff screams bush league amateur hour ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Things like the UI stacking names on top of each other so you cannot even read the leave/kill log on screen. Sometimes when you die your camera doesn't follow your squad, it follows some random squad. And when that happens, a lot of times your after action report isn't of your team, it's of the team you were visually watching. Or more often than not it's just completely blank. There is a "Stats" icon that when clicked shows you stats for MW 2 DM and tells you to play MW2 DM to unlock more "Stats". When I'm in Warzone. If that's not a bug that's a purposeful design decision, which is even worse. Oh and what's up with enemies randomly appearing as people in your squad with their equipment and even name floating above them, then switching back into enemies. Shooting an enemy with full life in the head point blank and killing him, then shooting his buddy in the head with the same gun with the same amount of armor and not killing him. Melee hits seemingly killing me in 1 hit while me hitting them like Rocky punching meat doesn't even knock them down. I mean I could literally spend hours ripping into how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BAD this game is on ever level, but that would be like punching somebody when they are already down so we'll just leave it as, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad.

Great turn based combat with a little bit of base expansion and a story. Game doesn't really feel like it ends, it just kind of peters out, but was enjoyable the entire trip. Until the "post game content" which is completely unplayable and better off ignored. Just enjoy your time with the game.

Peak Arkane. It will never get better than this, and factually gets worse with each continued release they have. I wish Arkane went out of business after this game so I could remember them as one of the greatest developers of all time, instead of, well, Arkane.

So the Witness costs 40$ and I got bored of it in 75 minutes.
This game cost 0$ and I beat the entire thing in 95 minutes enjoying every last second of it.
By doing basic maths we can show that this game is infinitely better than the witness on a fun for cost level.

The timed aspect completely ruins the game. A real heist is a slow, methodical course of actions. This is an escape game, not a heist game. And in case people don't understand the difference, in a real heist the mark doesn't know they have been hit until it's too late to do anything about it. Escaping is something you do when a heist goes poorly. Amazing technology, but the game part sucks.

Completely and utterly forgettable. As in I beat the game and I don't remember a single thing about it.
