[UPDATE as of 1.27.1] Apr 2, 2021
New update fixes 90% of the issues that the game was plagued with, including disappearing text and frequent game crashes. Still awaiting fix for more consistent frame rates when playing on 120fps and massive frame drops when Alt-Tabbing and/or during cutscenes.

[UPDATE as of 1.27]
As of 1.27, the Not Recommended option applies until KT fixes the issue.

For 230 hours, my game ran with an average 117-118fps, with minor fps drops ONLY during cutscenes. After the update, no matter how hard I try to adjust performance issues, I average 62-70fps. It's heartbreaking to know that a "fix" put my experience a step back with performance issues.

I love this game to death. 100% achievements within 180 hours. Planning to invest another 1000 hours into every bit the game has to offer. Nioh 2 potentially rivals Monster Hunter World on my most played games list. About to run headstrong into DotW and DotN with full amount of preparation. I consider myself one of the very few who chooses not to skip ANY of the missions to rush into endgame. My motto is 100% DotS, then 100% DotStrong, DotD, etc. I respect the amount of passion put into Nioh 1/2 and wholeheartedly acknowledge that Nioh is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, franchises to save Koei Tecmo's face in recent years, especially after the DW9 debacle.

Please keep doing what you do best, KT. I have faith in Nioh.

This is a valid complaint though. If you were seeing fps near 120 and then are getting just over half of that then I can only imagine that there could be other issues lurking with an update that has this kind of impact on performance not to mention this could easily be magnified on a lesser machine. Just my 2 cents.

@Billy Blaze Now that you mention it... the review has a "spoiled" attitude to it so my bad. My complaints are only relative to the fact that I know the game is capable of higher fps.

Sounds like this issue needs to be addressed A-S-A-P
