The graphics are terrible for it's age, looks like it's from 2010 - but it can look alright in a stylised kind of way. The story is okay if you like Lovecraftian madness, but quite short, being about 9 hours in length. It isn't very scary apart from a few levels with a certain creature, but certainly creepy. This isn't an action game, or a survival horror, per se, but a semi-walking simulator with some lazy action & stealth elements intertwined. The detective stuff is barebones and more or less sends you on a straight path, with some dialogue choices & lore books that will help determine the ending.

For full price I wouldn't say it's worth buying, but if you like the Cthulhu mythos and it's on sale, sure, pick it up. I enjoyed it plenty for the atmosphere and creepy lore alone, and I quite enjoy a short B-game - that doesn't overstay it's welcome - now & then.

Heard great things about this game, and mostly went into it blind. I was expecting a straight up linear, hack & slash, action game like DMC, which is great as is, but this game surpassed my expectations. It is a wonderful mesh of different genres; Open-World Exploration w/ RPG-elements, Bullet-Hell mayhem, Side-Scrolling, Platforming, along with all of the action you'd naturally expect.

Lots of replay value with a plethora of different endings to seek out (Besides Ending A, make sure you keep playing through endings B, C, & D, to get the full picture). The story is great, with plenty of feels, and asks some profound questions about the meaning of existence & free will. The soundtrack is A+. The THICC thighs and butts are just the cherry on top.
