A game that captures the magic of the original Indiana Jones trilogy without completely relying on nostalgia. Game play is simple but fun. Enemy AI is a bit on the dumber side but the game is not dragged at so long that it gets boring. The story is phenomenal and the voice actors all do a fantastic job. Game ran great overall but had a few issues with foliage popping in while in the last map but was not too serious. Feels like a complete, classic adventure game with a modern coat of paint and some of the best Indiana Jones story and gags since Last Crusade.

Great game, worth the pickup.

The Veilguard is a complicated game to review. It's not everything thing that I would've wanted from the next dragon age game. It would've been cool for a few more choices to carry over, a bit more time to be spent exploring the inner workings and feel of Tevinter, the story felt a little bit more sanitized when it came to stuff like sex and race compared to other Bioware rpgs, and there were a couple elements that were a bit under baked (looking at you broken lords).

Despite all of that though, my opinion is that DATV is a flawed but very good game. The dialogue and writing lacks a bit in the first act but it starts to level out after a few hours and the final act is one of the finest that Bioware has put out, in my opinion. The maps design hits a good medium between Inquisition and the more strictly mission focused games, the combat is very fun the visuals are very nice without being a resource hog when running at ultra(though I am content with them pivoting back to a more realistic style for the next mass effect). The characters that I thought I wouldn't really care for grew on me a lot in the second half of the game. The romances are serviceable but seem a bit more restrained compared to BG3 and Bioware's other games.

TLDR: Slow start but good middle and excellent final 5ish hours. Flawed but good, 8 or 9 / 10

Overall, Endless Dungeon is a fun and charming rogue-lite dungeon crawler/tower defense game. Dungeon of the endless players will be familiar with the basic premise of the game: Explore each floor, set up generators, open doors to get resources, fight back occasional waves of enemies, try to get as far as possible.

So far, I've had a lot of fun with the gameplay loop. I've unlocked all of the characters but still have a to progress. Each character has a personal quest which will have you do certain side objectives that will direct you to take certain paths in a run or try to accomplish different things and will reward you with more upgrade slots along with piecing together some of the story. There's several bosses throughout the game that each do a good job of feeling unique. Haven't found them all yet but each offer a fun and hectic fight so far.

Each character has a unique ability, ultimate ability and passive which helps make them all feel pretty unique. You can bring up to 2 (or 3 with an upgrade) into each run. In single player the you can switch between each character and position them at certain areas. Thankfully, the AI seems to be pretty competent.

Multiplayer is very good. My only real gripe with it is that you can only unlock characters if you are the one hosting the game. It's likely because character unlocks are tied to visiting certain areas that you need to unlock through progression but it's something that felt a little bad when I first started playing with a friend. Thankfully character unlocking is pretty quick and you can get them all unlocked after only a few runs. Other than that progression works for both players but uses the hosts upgrades for certain things (crystal bot, saloon). Overall multiplayer works pretty much seamlessly and adds a lot of fun to the game.

As this is an Amplitude game, one thing that can't go unmentioned is the presentation of the game. The visual style is gorgeous and the soundtrack is awesome. Both really help build a cool atmosphere to the game. Voice acting is limited mostly to a few quips during dialogue and battle, what's there is serviceable.

Overall, game is pretty great so far and $30 seems like a very fair asking price, especially in a market that has been getting more expensive lately.

To be honest, I went into this not expecting much. I'm a big fan of the endless series but this is an April fools day game. Almost an hour later I was definitely getting into the story and was actually disappointed when part 1 was over. All in all a very solid story for anyone interested in the endless universe and actually seems surprisingly accessible to those who don't know much about it. Very excited to see what part 2 brings and I hope they continue this quality of visuals and writing through to completion.

This game is not for the faint of heart. It is frustrating, difficult, rng based and at times it can seem unfair. This is a game where your characters will die, you'll have a dungeon run screwed up because of one rng boss spawn when you're not ready (i'm looking at you collector) and chance dodges, crits, and status effects will make or break your day sometimes. For me, i like it this way. Without the difficulty this game loses a lot of it's charm and character. It has an overall fantastic audio and visual style (in my opinion) and the gameplay, difficulty adn mechanics just back it up. Yes the rng may seem unfair at times but this game is about making the best of bad situations when they arise. You have to know when to retreat and cut your losses and when to try to forge ahead and eek out a victory. Dont get me wrong, once you get used to the game and mechanics, you can have some easy runs, some may even seem comfortably easy but this game has a way of keeping you on your toes. DD has great replayability in the sense that it has a rogue-lite feel to it. You have several different dungeon paths with different objectives to complete in each with the purpose of finding loot, leveling up your characters and leveling up your dungeon experience with the goal to make your team strong enough to face the different bosses, then eventually traverse the Darkest Dungeon. This game forces care management of finances and materials as higher level character become more costly to maintain as they develope different quircks, habits and contract diseases along with the increasing cost of equipment and upgrades. Each time you embark on a dungeon crawl you must carefully stock your party's limited inventory with items that might mean the difference between life and death or profit and disaster. Overall, I have really enjoyed this game and eventhough it has had its moments when it has frustrated me to no end, i keep returning to it.

Generally i'm not all that fond of roguelikes in general but I am a big fan of FTL. It has a lot of replay value with the different ships, free dlc and the different difficulty levels. The game general consists of short term decision making in combat, long term money management and pathing choices along with random encounters. FTL's runs are long enough to satisfy but not too long as to cause a ton of frustration from losing and has definitely justified its price.

Early Access Review
Just a disclaimer: DO NOT buy this while it's in early access if you want a completed game, it wont be there and you're better off just waiting for release. Besides that Divinity: Original Sin 2 is an absolutely wonderful game. The story and dialogue are very good and have extensive options for just about anything. Speaking of options, this game lets you do just about anything, kill anyone, take anything. This game has D&D style freedom only limited by the fact that it's a videogame. It also plays extremely similar to a table top rpg with its skill checks, leveling system and combat. Overall it's great but still has a long time to go until it's done so curb your expectations accordingly. Right now it has around 8 hours of gameplay minimum but it's not hard to squeeze out more with all the side quests and exploration that can be had in the first area.
