It's not a very good game.

i am simply not good enough to play above the lowest difficulty. however, the game still is great - covers a great range of music and locales, while cooking up gimmicks for each environment that are mostly not repeated

gameplay is tight, rewards getting better at the game, and is satisfying to pull off

a good time all around

Does not work well on steam deck. Menu issues, pause menu softlocking you, controller not being picked up - no amount of tweaking helps.

Works great on Windows.

anyone who paints this as the "smash killer" is delusional, the game is insanely too demanding for it to draw in that crowd. it's a good game, but it's not killing that game.

it's still good but insanely hard. even arcade mode on "hard" is absolutely insane. this isn't the game for you if you don't intend on losing a bunch for dozens of hours to people or hard AI, but is phenomenal if you have the mental fortitude to put the time in

even if the story was good (which it is not) this game would be docked points because wow. people do not ever shut up. turning off dialogue turns it into a funny mime show.

great gunplay. i enjoy. buy on sale.
