I have 13.5 hours on record and I'd like to say I am extremely dissapointed in the repetitive and dull gameplay. Other than finding the "center of the galaxy" and hopping from planet to planet to collect minerals, there's nothing else interesting to do.
I thought from what I had heard from the developers that there would be cool interactions between the three alien factions but it was extremely over exaggerated. I spent a long time trying to level up my reputation with the "Korvax" and after wasting several hours grinding words from the poor AI scientist, I realized the only use of knowing the language is getting information on where to find rare minerals or being able to understand them in order to complete mini quests/ dialogue choice senarios .
Over all I think it's pretty cool how the game can render such a huge area like space and the ability to fly between planets is awesome, especially for being made by such a small group of people. However, since this is the 21st century, I am genually unimpressed and I think a larger company could have done a much better job (a less buggy one too). I would reccomend this game if it cost 15$ or maybe 20$, but 60$ is a rediculous price for such an undeveloped game. It's unfortunate that so many people such as myself pre-ordered the game expecting much more (which is not our faults considering the devs made the game sound much more complicated and dynamic than it was in reality). Now that my wallet is hurting 60 bucks and Hello Games is rolling in it, I highly doubt they will be very motivated to improve No Man's Sky. This is only my opinion.
If you are thinking about buying this game, I would not reccomend it but I would rate it a solid 4/10.

Nice goofs and some real sad boy moments.

LOVE THIS GAME. Building the robots is my favorite part. Could (and have) spent hours coming up with new robot ideas.

I watched the live streams for this dev when he was reworking the game and he seemed enthusiastic about it. Its unfortunate that his partner left the progect because its been years and the new version was never completed.

I don’t recommend the current version of the game it needs a lot of work and it’s unlikely that it will be released any time soon.

Honestly I was overwhelmed by how abstract the game was at first but figuring out how to actually play the game was part of the fun. Definitely recommend this game if you enjoy puzzles and ambient humming.
