The way a remake should be: expands on the original in smart ways, keeps the same storyline and gameplay, and gives you some serious PTSD from the last time you played it. Of special note, the graphics in this are top notch, as disgusting as they tend to be. Now would I recommend it, only if you want to play one of the scariest things in gaming that actually deals with some pretty depressing subjects, if that's not your bag definitely skip it. If you enjoy the Resident Evil remakes, the Alien franchise, or event horizon, maybe give it a look!

One of the best co-op games in recent memory, a mix of Left 4 Dead, No Man's Sky, and Minecraft. Dev team has been consistently adding content to the game since release, and the community is great. Amazing replayability, and tons of different mission types. All levels are randomly generated, new enemies getting added all the time, and tons of unlockables to keep things from getting stale. Nothing else to say other than "Rock and Stone Brothers!"

Feels like being reunited with old friends. Best experienced in 4k Ultra-wide, it'll look just the way your mind remembers it. Modern day games need to take notes, especially in the writing department. Grab yourself a whiskey and lets enjoy one of the best epics in gaming. We'll bang, ok?

This game is a simulation of what would actually happen to you if you were dropped into a FPS horror game. You'd die a horrible death. Thankfully, you're just piloting the poor characters who have to experience this hell.

Before you buy this, do yourself a favor and watch a 45 minute + video on how to play. See if you still want to play it. You'll thank me later. Nothing is explained, there is no tutorial, everything your first instincts are going to tell you to do, all of that is wrong.

You are going to die over and over, if you like games like dark souls you'll know the difficulty curve here, except there is 0 progression, so you will never get better at this game except for your own skill level. One day, IF you beat a single level, you will get a feeling of accomplishment that'll mostly make it all worth it.

Fairly easy to find a deal to bring this down to a better price, all things considered this is basically a new expansion at this point, quite enjoying the added content.

One of my favorite horror games, the character design is really well done, and there is a ton of detail if you bother to look. It starts out quite simple since the devs didn't expect it to get as popular as it did, but after chapter 2 it really starts to take off story-wise. Looking forward to the sequel.

One of the best retro games to come out in a very long time. Its Yacht Club Games so you already know they know what they're doing. The music deserves a special mention, I have not heard such great music in a retro game in a long time, I'd put it up there with Chrono Trigger, Batman for Sega CD, and Waterworld. Its a synthwave style soundtrack made with chiptune, many of the numbers are catchy enough I listen to them outside the game.

The combat is fast and fun, you start out fairly weak and simplistic, by the end of the game you're bouncing off walls, double jumping, and cutting a path through enemies, they really pay off that fantasy of being a ninja, just stick with it. The aesthetic is perfect 80s style futurism. Took me back to the golden age of genesis games.

If you like excellent retro music, pixel graphics, Ninjas, or 80s gaming nostalgia, you've found the perfect game for you.

Shouldn't be fun, but it is. The story might be convoluted and cheesy at times, but the gameplay loop was what kept me coming back. Love the feeling of offloading cargo after a long haul, and seeing the structures / messages others have left along the way. A game like this could only come from Kojima, love it or hate it, you have to admit it is doing something different from everyone else.
