Ignore all negative reviews that have less than 25 hours played. This game is not for everyone and the developers themselves acknowledge this (Look at their "honest trailer" on their youtube page) There is no action, there are no fancy graphics, HOWEVER there is the one thing that all spreadsheet fans love and that is a deep, functional and (mostly) player driven economy. Now I say mostly player driven economy since the developers have, with good reason put price barriers on certain goods in the market, this in order to not let any single person completely ♥♥♥♥ over newcomers to the game.

The game is played on a bloomberg-ish looking terminal and the UI is nothing like other games I have seen except EvE online, and this game even trumps EvE online in making you feel like a daytrader whenever you open the game.

If you want action: Play Mass effect
If you want massive fleet combat: Play EvE Online
If you want to plan out down to the dollar how to run a successful interstellar manufacturing corporation: Play this game

The community is amazing, this might be the only game where I actually recommend joining the official discord and all its major community servers, not only for chatting with people while watching your timer tick down but also due to the help that this community provides to new players, there are several veteran players in this game who gladly provide zero interest loans to help you get started.

The subscription:
I see some people who post negative comments harp on about the subscription model, and thats all fine and good if it weren't for the fact that you definitely don't need it to do well in the universe.

I mean its free, you don't need to subscribe to play the game and enjoy it. However as mentioned it isn't for everyone, try it out, if its not your cup of tea don't just post a negative review because you didn't enjoy it.
