Quite honestly one of, if not the best game I've ever played.

Rust is truly a psychological masterpiece, depending on how dedicated you are to further your own cause. This game can consume you, for better or for worse, but I guess that depends on your personality. The aspect of potentially losing every item or substance you've worked hard for isn't only terrifying, it's highly rewarding, as you attempt to defend what you've got relentlessly. The experience is obviously enhanced if you've got friends to help you in your cause, but even that comes with strife as you naturally take it personally when a teammate is wrongs, thus revenge ensues.

Whether you're gunning down a bear or getting into a full-on squabble with multiple armed individuals, the PvE and PvP aspects are rock solid. The gunplay is extraordinary and mostly quite realistic. Weapons feel good upon usage.

Farming is the prerequisite to feeling accomplished. Both necessary and fulfilling, it doesn't really feel like a choir when you get into the grind, and realize it's required for success. Crafting is mostly fair, and you get out of it what you put into it. The options are nearly limitless, in that aspect.

Graphically speaking this game is also quite beautiful, if your PC can handle anything above potato. Sunsets and rises are vivid, shadows are on point, and the landscape is beautiful. Everything just looks plain nice.

It probably isn't the game to make friends on, but assuming you've played as long as I have, you could potentially meet some trustworthy and fantastic individuals; I have met many in my 7 months of play time thus-far. You cold solo it out, but alliances at the least and friends preferred make the game far easier and more enjoyable.

What happens to you is to be determined by your own emotions and your capacity to accept inevitable failures. Whilst time goes on, if you stick with it, your resilience becomes stronger and you became a more developed, superior player. It definitely isn't the game for everyone, as I've clearly noted in my time, but for those who suck it up and keep trying, it's highly rewarding.

Overall 10/10, Highly Recommended.
