My review as a player with 1k hours on MHW; and 500 hrs on MHR - 7.5 / 10

Hardware : RTX3080 ; Ryzen 5 5600X; 32gb Ram

A remarkably exciting & unique addition to the hunting genre, held back only by performance optimization (60-70 fps playing on 2k with high settings ) and a smaller content pool.

The maps are vast, beautiful and is surprisingly fun to traverse, and explore. Its like having graphics / map complexity of MHW, and also the traversal/ exploration options from MHR.

Combat is fast & furious, as compared to MH's more typically slow and methodical approach. The Karakuri system takes a while to get use to, but it is extremely enjoyable once you get the mechanics down.

A lot of unique customization options ranging from Weapon enhancements, Armor Skills, Talismans, Karakuri loadout, layered armor, Map customization (Dragon Karakuri) and Food Farming (yes, you literally can have a Farm, on the normal hunting map(s), with multiple cooking utensils, and knick knacks. and a need to go out hunting for meat)

Overall, I really enjoyed the game, and I see the potential for it to compete with the Monster Hunter Series. I truly hope to see more coming from this title.
