This game is pretty fun, a lot more fun with friends. In house games on Survive with Friends are the best. As a Prestige 3 Shape and Prestige 1 Wraith, Doctor, and Huntress I'd never recommend playing Killer, especially if you're new the game. Survivors are typically toxic as hell and turn good, fun games into ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ones that make you question why you play the game at all. As a prestige 3 Jake and Prestige 1 Claudette I'd recommend the game is played best as a survivor but it's not usually very challenging unless the killer is exceptionally good at whoever they picked.

The game as a whole is pretty solid, mostly just the terrible community that prevents me from playing it as much as I used to. I stopped playing killer a while back, but jumped back to it with the release of the Huntress and remake of the Doctor. My recent venture back into killer was shunted, once again, by toxic survivors so the community hasn't really gotten better unfortunately. While killers can be fun, I find Survivors are very repetitive in gameplay and can get old pretty fast. Killers are a lot more diverse with the Nurse's teleport, the Shape's stalking, Doctor's Shock Treatment.

My advice to enjoy the game as a survivor is to not see getting sacrificed as a loss or to mean you're "bad". Blood points can still be earned, and a hell of a lot if you play David King with his We're Gonna Live Forever perk even if you end up getting hooked. And you can always learn from your mistakes, what got you hooked in the first place? If you were out played, that's not really a loss worth getting upset over and sounds like a good match. I very rarely have experienced survivors trash talk each other, even when people are particularly "bad" or playing selfishly.

As a killer it's a lot harder to enjoy the game, almost especially when you have a good game. Getting four sacrifices means you have to deal with four toxic people who are going to flood chat after the game. The chat feature, which you cannot turn off. So you either have to leave immediately and forgo seeing the stats or wade through toxicity and probably ruin the enjoyment of the good game you had.
