This game makes you lose friends while having fun shooting at them

Imagine you and your buddies are dropped into a war zone, only to discover that the enemy is less dangerous than the GPS system trying to navigate you through.

Can't Run? Here's Fix
Note: Even you download DX8.1 package (link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109), It won't Run. (For me it didn't. I don't know if it works on your computer)

Step 1: Right click on the game and chose browse local files
Step 2: Find the "dbghelp. dll" and delete it
(at this time the game will run else proceed to next step)

Step 3: Still on the folder find the "Generals.exe" Right click and choose properties
Step 4: On properties choose compatibility and check the the "Run in 640X480"
Step 5: Run the game then if work quit the game
Step 6: Uncheck the "Run in 640x480" then Run the Game
(At this time it will run perfectly)

Low Resolution? Try this:
*Right click on the game on steam
*Properties
*add on parameters -xres 2560 -yres 1440
(This depends on your monitor Resolution. I run on -xres 1920 -yres 1080)

Commander, Want to play with your Monitor's Resolution?

Step 1: Right click on the game then choose Browse local files
Step 2: Find the "DDrawCompat.ini" and open it with notepad
Step 3: Add the resolution you want after the "SupportedResolutions =",（Example：SupportedResolutions = 640x400, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1920x1080）Then Click Save.
Step 4: Find the "RA2.INI" and open it with notepad
Step 5: Find the " Video ", and then add:
VideoBackBuffer=no
AllowHiResModes=yes
AllowVRAMSidebar=no
(Ofcourse don't forget to save)
Step 6: Find the “RA2MD.INI” and open it with notepad
Step 7: Repeat Step 5

The menu UI may be small but in game it will be the same as your chosen resolution.
