The game runs very stable and smooth, and is a proper PC port of the game. It even has ULTRAWIDE support that works, however in cutscenes it puts up a filter outside of a standard 16:9.

Doing every mission in the game with the DLC, minus the collectibles, will take you about 40 hours.

Story wise, I liked it. It's not a very unique story but every story has been told already. I can see a lot of parallels from this to Halo. Which isn't a bad thing, and might be why I enjoyed it as much as I did.

My biggest gripe about this game is that when you are in a conversation either over the Focus or when Aloy is talking to herself you have to remember not to move. Otherwise you can skip and cut off the dialogue.

If you ever played a Battlefield game and was ever disappointed with the newer games, pick this one up. This is everything Battlefield should have been minus the graphics.

I just hit 100 hours at the time of this review. While I was waiting until I completed the game to post a review, it seems that I may have a few dozen more hours left of this game.

This game is the best game Bethesda has put out since Morrowind. Not saying the games in between are bad, just the writing in this game is worlds better then the other, some might even say systems better. The gameplay is very solid as well, while I wish the AI were more responsive in combat it's solid.

Speaking of solid, this is the most solid game Bethesda has released. Relatively bug free, however it can't be a Bethesda game without some jank. And it definitely has some, currently Stroud-Eklund Starfield is unreachable for me being 8,000 km away.

While I can't say much of the story, since I haven't completed it yet, I can say it has a VERY weak start. It falls to the Bethesda "You're the hero and we have to let you know within the first hour" trope. Doesn't even let you get into the groove before things hit off. While some may take a dozen hours before they get into the game I was enamored in the first hour.

The side quests have been very engaging, and what made me go from this is a pretty good game into this is a great game was the Ryujin story line. This was the first major side questline I did in the game. I absolutely hated the start, I didn't even want to do it. I was going to leave it for last, and then after about 4 sub quests in it hit. The writing is so well done, I went from "I hate this questline" to "I really hope the game has equally as good questlines because this one came out swinging."

I've done a few others, and all have been pretty great. I don't think there has been a bad side questline that was subpar. And I mean the major side quests, not the smaller one offs. They have all been very good.

I will update my review when I've finished the main story questline. 100 hours is, I do say this is at least a 9/10 game so far.

This game is an amazing remake. You do not need to play the original but I would recommend it so you can either appreciate the "updated" story and gameplay.

By updated story, I am talking about the dozens of hours put into the game which would take you like 3 hours on the original game. That's right, this whole game is about 3 hours of the original game. So there is a lot of new stuff to do and explore.

It also touches on things in the original that you could only speculate on, and this game outright shows you more of the backstory. Which is great, but I think the next part might suffer in terms of being a "faithful" remake.

Without going into spoilers, this game is obviously not a one for one remake. That's fine, and is probably a good thing. The original story line wasn't very good but the adventure was. While the dialogue and cutscenes are odd, I do think the story is overall better so far. The way this game sets up the next game makes me believe that this will be a different story all together with the same events, and more then likely a different conclusion to the story.

Gameplay for the most part is set up very well. I like how they modernized the game, but it does suffer from the fact that the characters you do not control don't really do anything. That might be a good thing since the game is very easy once you get the hang of it. I don't think there was a single instance I had to reload from a death, and I only had a character down a handful of times.

Because of the gameplay, there were a few fights that had to change. So the elevator fight in the original is now a lobby fight. Being vague on purpose. However it would have added more complexity to a unique fight in the original.

I do not know if the free form of the combat changed so much in terms of difficulties in battles but I do not think I used a single item in a fight outside of a phoenix down once or twice. Again this game was very easy on normal, and the only "difficult" fights were just people who were sponges that just took it so it was a time sink more than anything.

I look forward to replaying this on hard mode, and I definitely look forward to the future parts. I don't know if this game is worth $70 or any game for that matter. It's worth a playthrough if you played the original or just like the Final Fantasy series.

While the game is actually good, the PC port is so bad I can't bring myself to play this game.

Distant loading is broken and pops in and out nonstop. On an SSD this game still hitches, which is fine but is annoying when you're in a battle and load a new zone. I get good frames 100+ most of the time and then all of the sudden it'll drop to 30 and stutter for whatever reason and I'll need to reboot the game.

It's more work trying to play the game then to just play the game.

While this wasn't the first episodic game I played, it is however my favorite. I really latched onto this game, tried getting all possible paths you could take. While I haven't done a full playthrough on PC yet, all my time was on the Xbox One.

This is one of those games where I can't really say nothing because it would ruin the experience. It's just one of my favorite games.

This game is one of those landmark games for me. Top 5 all time games. When this game came out, it just blew my mind. I got all the achievements on the Xbox 360, I even had at one point a top 10 time on a time trial. I probably went through and replayed it dozens of times.

Now, on PC I only have about 3 and a half hours. Plug in a controller and thank yourself that you did. The storyline is woefully short, and it's a very weak plot. However, it's very engaging in everything that it does. It's like watching a movie.

There are very few games that I can replay over and over, this was one of them. While I may not clock much more hours here on steam, I probably have a hundred or so hours on Xbox. For a game that takes like 2 hours to beat.

My favorite Elder Scrolls game, though I started with III and haven't played the ones before it.

I highly recommend OpenMW if you play Morrowind. It fixes a lot of the bugs and brings stability to the game. It's 100% of the original functionality of the game at the point of this review. It ALSO fixes the way a few things that are broken in game. An example being that the "weight" of a race is counted in the "speed" trait. Meaning an Orc/Nord/(maybe even High Elves) is faster then a Khajiit when both are at skill 100 because an Orc has a weight of 1.5 while the Khajiit is like .75 making it one of the slowest races in the game. I believe it's also calculated in the jump height as well.

This game is very different from Oblivion and vastly different from Skyrim. You cannot play this game like an action RPG game, it is a 3D representation of a board game with dice rolls. There is also a max level where your stats WILL not equal out when you get to end game.

If you do not plan to exploit the game at all, I would highly recommend some sort of uncapped leveling mod. This way you do not have to plan your levels, otherwise you will be hating yourself later when you realize you're level 50 and you do not have anything but Strength at 100 and you only have 20 more levels at best to fix your overall stats.

Endurance is THE ONLY SKILL that is an exponentially effects your stats. 10% of your Endurance is put into your max health every level up. You can theoretically get 100 Endurance at level 1, it is possible. At level 70 (this is about max depending how you level) That's 700 hitpoints plus your starting health. If you start at 40 Endurance and neglect it, at level 70 you will have just over 300. Lets say 500 if you did level it up sparingly. That's a 200 point difference. Might night sound like a lot but if you're a melee build that's a lot of damage you can take.

No matter the build, I would recommend stacking Endurance. Magicka has a set max, which is only dictated by your Sign. High Elves might have a slightly higher cap. However, you can weight as no matter what the max will be the same in the endgame. Unless you know how to raise that cap through artificial or exploitation means.

Before I found a level uncap mod, min maxing my skills really dictated how I played. This allowed me to try out other builds in the game. Though, I still always revert back to my two handed sword builds. Even then, I would probably recommend maxing Endurance as quickly as possible since it does help with the early grind.

If you do not mind playing dated games, or at least trying something that doesn't really hold your hand and will require a little more on you to figure things out, give this game a try. This is one of the few games Bethesda has made that you CAN FAIL A MISSION. OR DOOM YOUR TIMELINE. You can truly just about do whatever you want in this game. No one is essential. They even made a backdoor way to beat the game in case you did somehow doom your game.

I've been going back and playing the "classics" I missed because I was either too young to play them or I didn't have a computer to game on at the time. This one will remain as one I will not beat. Maybe that will change in the future if I ever feel like trying this one again.

The game mechanics were fine, I can get past the dated graphics, loved some of the other cyberpunk references I found. The game just feels rushed and assumes you're dumb and holds your hands in mission briefs. Doesn't really allow exploration unless you go out of your way to do so. This might change later on in the game, however I didn't get far enough to get past the "This is exactly how we want you to do this mission, but you could do this instead, also we need this if you can help it."

Like some older games, this one suffers from render issues. I don't know if the game is meant to be absurdly dark, but having to use the flashlight (which costs energy) to roam around in your HEAD QUARTERS AND THROUGH ALL THE OFFICES is probably not intended.

I did recommend this game, because I can see it is a decent game underneath my issues. Some older games are just played differently from what current games are played. But, I would give it a 6/10 if I had to rate it.
