Sadly I want to change my review to Negative.

14.0 right now is a big miss for me. Maybe the devs had good intentions but it didnt work and now its losing its charm.

The models for Guard, Scientist and Dboy are a huge MISS and all look like rubbery weird.. awful. Guards look like CLONES and bring no individualism to their team. Scientist despite being old guys had a WAY better previous model and look like fools now. Dboys are not cool at all and are not as bad but still lack the charm of who they previously were.

Heavy containment changes sound good on paper but it just doesnt feel good to play. Maybe its the layouts feel strange? The rooms are just full of clutter to try and provide cover but are actually just cluttery? Micro/Jail bird/particle disruptor are easily obtainable and that happens really often?

Spawn wave changes were unnecessary and now negatively impact the flow of push and pull for the teams fighting eachother in the facility. Ticket systems were better done prior and most usually we would end up having a spawn wave followed by the opposite teams spawn wave (i.e. NTF spawn then time passes and Chaos spawn) These spawns happened at a really well balanced time in game where you were never spectator too long. As well as pushed the opposite teams out of surface or entrance into heavy and that would in turn push them into SCP's in heavy. Although rounds can be different this was optimal and how I would usually perceive the game happening. The new mini waves are not good and the flow of when things happened changed, not for the better.

All together I dont understand fully why this doesnt work. Why 14.0 changes the game from fun to meh, maybe even worse than meh. I feel like they want to move this game into Realistic graphics territory but that aesthetic does not fit with the established player base. Although previous heavy was long hallways it really worked, simple and straight forward. The models were fun and did not need to be upscaled and feel rubbery now and gross. Spawning used to be at well placed times and had good balanced against eachother.

How do you recover from this? Roll back the models for our characters, huge bonus there. Revamp heavy and be more creative than just clutter. Rethink your art direction and be the classic Secret Lab that everyone fell in love with instead of Unreal Engine 5 (an obvious example of the art negatively changing is the terrible cartoon-like achievements)
