Edit: The game is plain broken. After a few hours of hauling treasures with my friends it appears that there is some bug that prevents two of us(out of a party of 4) from using our hard earned gold to purchase items. After googling a bit it seems that this bug or glitch or whatever you want to call it has been in the game since 2018. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

The only point of getting money in the game is to buy more skins for your existing gear. There are no upgrades, nothing to unlock, no new features, no better ships or better weapons. Once you finish the tutorial you have every gear you'll get in the whole game.

The m/kb controls are bad. It's the typical early 2000s half-assed PC port type of game.

In game audio is terrible. Zero filter for noise and the audio quality itself is early 90s tier.

PVP is laughably bad. One single death animation. Players respawn(back in to the fight unless you totally sink their ship) after 10 seconds or so after death.

The only redeeming thing is that this game is fun when you have 3 other fun friends to play with. For a time. It gets boring fast as you discover the shallow mechanics behind the game.

This might be a worthwhile game if you're a parent and you want to play some video game with your 8 year olds and 9 year olds. Yeah, I can imagine that specific scenario would make this game fun.

Tons of gamebreaking bugs. Fun game until some bug kills your ironman run.

Currently unplayable for me at the moment. Game crashes after a few minutes of playtime. I posted my problems on the support forums with my specs and crash log. No response from anyone except for one other player who taught me how to find my crash logs.

9/10 for tactical/TB fans.
8/10 for anyone else.

Pros:

-The combat, the core of the game, is incredibly fun
-Lots of classes or jobs to choose from
-There is a semblance of balance
-A dozen or so difficulty options to suit every man or woman's needs
-Character portraits are gorgeous
-Optimized

Cons:
-Dialogue script is awkward even for a non native English speaker like myself
-Sprites isn't as well done as portraits


I would have given it a 10/10 if the sprites were Japanesu tier quality and the dialogue/script was written better.

After a dozen or so hotfixes and a major patch, the game is still buggy as hell. A lot of bugs that will prevent players from completing quests. A lot of broken skills that doesn't work as intended. A few REAL game-breaking bugs that will block you off from completing the campaign.

I waited for the major 1.1 patch to play this game when my previous game was ruined due to bugs. Patch 1.1 did fix a lot of bugs, 1000+ bugs according to the devs. Unfortunately there are still game stoppers that lurks within every chapter of the game.

15 minutes ago I got hit with such a bug. There is no fix, there hasn't been any hotfixes since 1.1 dropped, and there is no workaround for it.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME until early 2020 or so when they have ironed out the bugs and glitches.

Comfy jRPG game would definitely recommend.

I'd give this game a thumbs up, but there are some very, VERY rage-inducing (known)bugs like the Scanner Room menu's items disappearing randomly and the Power Transmitter randomly stops working.

Haven't played this good of an cRPG video game since Black Isle.
