Tekken at its core is pretty fun, not much has changed here (though I wish Rage Arts would ♥♥♥♥ off, I hate watching them). However, I'm going to go ahead and thumbs down this game for how little anything seems to work outside of the actual fighting. We tried for a while last night to just have a game of Tekken Ball online and we couldn't, it just wouldn't start. The avatar system is ♥♥♥♥. My save corrupted, causing me to somehow lose the cosmetics from the shop and have 0 tekken money and unlocks (even though you're meant to start with some). Updates seems to just keep making things buggier. The new 'special move' system is really, really dumb, they enforce that you have it in local tournaments, allowing you to spam it on the screen. The character customization is barebones compared to Tekken 5, 6, TTT2 and 7. The netcode still sucks. Where is Gon?

Also, a reminder, your battle pass, your online stats, your costumes and the cosmetics you buy are locally tied to your save. If your save randomly corupts, which is likely considering how unstable this game seems to be (It rarely even closes properly) then you will lose all of those things. No other modern game does this.
