The Special Edition is not that much of a step up for PC gamers that played with mods in the past. They added some Depth of Field settings which makes the game a little more immersive, but overall not much has changed other than optimization and a small graphics improvement. The new in game mod manager helps makes things easy to install and manage the mods you are using. The lighting is better than the old version and that NPC's have some more variety in their armour it seemed but i really didn't notice much other than that. If you already own this game I would recommend the install to try out the new editions but I would not pay 30 for this game unless you have never played skyrim before. 9/10 just because its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ skyrim for god's sake, but not much of an improvement.
