I really tried to enjoy this. When I first bought it, I absolutely hated it, but I thought it was because my mind was still fresh from the BG3 and Cyberpunk new updates, so I decided to give it its fair chance, give myself some time, and come back with a fresh perspective. But it didn't change, every single hour I spent with this game, fun was nowhere to be found. I really tried, but it just feels like with every single game Bethesda is making, their standards are falling lower and lower.
Things we have been complaining about since Oblivion and Fallout 3 have not been improved, it actually got worse from quest design all the way to weapon design, not to mention the combat in Starfield, it's just copy and paste from Fallout 4 to the point they re-used the same grenade sounds.

Bethesda's biggest strength was creating rich story environments. Why would they go for procedurally generated planets? It's beyond me, we just ended up with the same dungeons with loot and enemies spawning in the same spots. It's just ridiculous.

Hell Let Loose is a MILSIM set in WW2 and one of the best ones out there, if you want a cod or battlefield type of game but set in WWII then look elsewhere because this game isn't for you. HLL is a slow game where careful strategy wins the game, this isn't a game where your number of kills matters but where strategic boldness prevails and map control is key.

If you want a tactical game, where you have a specific role in your squad, slow-paced, and where communication is a MUST. Then you will find this type of game more enjoyable, you don’t get overwhelmed by an absurd amount of action, you get to use your brain more. How can you capture that objective? Where could the enemies be? Can I set an ambush point or a really strong defence point? Is it viable to flank or push straight to the point? Also the cooperation between squads it’s really fun. This game lets you have all those things, with the fun shooting mechanics.

This game has been out since 2019 and the devs have shown love and care for this game updating it and adding new features with Developers Briefings to keep the players up to date for what's to come, this game deserves your time.

First of all, even though I recommend the game take it with a pinch of salt and heed my words.

Kingmaker is a very flawed game. One of the best I've ever played, and yet I'd rate it 5/10, despite it giving me over 150+ hours of game time, more than making up the money I spent on it. Because, it isn't just fun, it's absolutely frustrating if you don't enjoy the mechanics of the game. This isn't a game I would recommend everybody, saying the game is out to get you and to make you suffer is not making it justice, especially in the end game.

Now here are the reasons why I wouldn't really recommend this game, at least the ones that stuck with me, this game has some really bad game design choices, for example, the lack of in-game documentation, the game doesn't explain a lot of status effects or mechanics. You have to google and figure it out via pen and paper wikis. That is a critically bad game design, this leads to a lot of new players to the genre just dropping the game out of frustration, basically, the game doesn't prepare you for what's to come leading you to realize mid-game that your build just sucks and you need to change it.
Heavily RNG based, everything relies on a dice roll, so get ready for a lot of missed hits.

But it's now all bad, here is what made me stick with it for so many hours, it has some excellent story, well told at least in my opinion it made me overlook some of the frustrations just out of curiosity as to what would happen next. A somewhat enjoyable Kingdom management, it doesn't impact the story but it can be an end game if your kingdom falls, I don't recommend turning off the Kingdom management because you will miss some really funny/interesting events just turn it down to an easy difficulty so it's not something you have to worry about. A flexible combat system, you can do Real-time or you can play it turn-based tactical, you can use real-time for easy fights you just want to get it over it and turn-based for difficult ones where you need to micromanage your party.

If you read this and still decided that you want to try it do yourself a favour, research builds and stick with it, you don't want to be caught with a bad build in the middle of a dungeon having to reload a save so you can travel to the one person that allows you to change your build at a cost. Normal difficulty isn't actually a normal difficulty in Pathfinder in the early game you might not notice it but mid to end the difficulty will spike to ridiculous levels, I still have PTSD from the end game dungeons ♥♥♥♥ THE WILD HUNT , here is a very important tip by end game make sure your party has Freedom of Movement and Stone to Flesh you will thank me later. Pathfinder has customisable difficulty levels that can be changed at any time, read the options it might save you some headaches and always carry rope with you.

However, if you have reached the end of this review and feel like these game mechanics aren't for you but you like the style I recommend you try Tyranny or if very pretty graphics matter to you Divinity: Original Sin 2 is right up your alley.

One of the most exceptional survival space horror games with some genuinely tense moments.

Dead Space is a console port and with this comes a lot of frame rate specific issues. The input time and the speed of mouse movement are affected by the frame rate, so your movement can feel different depending of the room you’re in, to make the matters worse the better the game is running the more physics start to brake, this can be solved by using the in-game VSync option but if you use this your frame rate gets locked at 30fps and the mouse issue gets worse.

To fix all this just download the (Dead Space Mouse Fix) off PCGamingWiki.
