I'm a newbie in the Assassin's Creed universe, playing only AC3 until now, so I'm not going to compare Origins to the other installments.
There are way more pros than cons for this game, but the latter ruined my experience. Let's start with the pros:

Pros
- Amazing World Details:
This is in my opinion Origins' best feature. I loved every little bit of the map (from the vast deserts in the center and south of the map to the crowded cities of Memphis, Alexandria or Cyrene). Every region is unique, each with its' foreign or local influences in domains like architecture or society: Egyptian, Greek, Roman or combinations of them.
The landmarks are breathtaking: you can climb the Pyramids and the Lighthouse of Alexandria, visit the Tomb of Alexander the Great and the Library of Alexandria, or sail down the Nile (maybe the most fun I had in the game, sailing on the Nile with dozens of other boats alongside me).

- Role-playing and Combat:
A lot of people were deeply disappointed with the decision of adding RPG mechanics into the game, many claiming Origins isn't an Assassin's Creed game anymore. Again, I'll be unbiased and say that I liked the gameplay and I think the role-playing aspects were implemented well. The combat is pretty simple, light attack, heavy attacks against opponents with small shields, parry and dodge, plus the Overpower Attack which is very helpful in many situations.
There are many types of weapons which offer diversity in said combat, you have the long range spears, the short range but fast dual blades, the heavy, but slow blunts etc. You also have four types of bows, but I think everyone just goes for the Predator and Hunter ones. Horse fights and melee fights against animals are clunky and boring, although the naval combat is spectacular and awesome and I loved these fights weren't shoved down my throat, there being about 2 or 3 of them in the whole game.

- Historical personalities:
Again, many people complained here about Cleopatra and Julius Caesar being dull and superficial. Look, I'm a History student myself and I really don't mind this shallowness, it's just a game after all, not a graduation thesis, let them be lighthearted villains. I liked seeing both of them, Pompey, Ptolemy XIII, Brutus etc. in a modern game. It is a good combination between fiction and reality.

As I don't want to turn this into a 2000 words review I'll end the pros here. Other smaller pros would be Bayek's character and customization, Senu and her Eagle Vision and animal hunting, the small details like soldiers going to sleep at night, petting cats if you crouch or getting heatstrokes for staying in the desert for too long etc.

Cons

- Side Quests:
It's now time for the biggest con for Origins, the side quests. They are so so many, repetitive, lame side quests. It's the biggest turn off for me, taking me to an exaggerated 64 hours playtime, spanned across three long months. All of them are the same "bring me back x thing", "kill y general", "escort z", "follow n", the latter two of them being extremely annoying and simply pesky. After something like 20 of these quests I just skipped all lines of dialogue and rushed to the objectives. That's one of my main reasons for not recommending the game.

- Locations

The second main reason I didn't enjoy the game was the locations. I liked the viewpoints (even though there are FIFTY-EIGHT!!! of them in the game) and the Stone Circles, but I completely hated the animals lairs, loot treasure locations and rest places. Also there are so so so many boring level 1 outposts. At some point I grew tired of them and I just executed the captain with my bow and rushed to the treasure, ignoring any kind of strategy and stealth.

These are the main cons I encountered in the game. Other smaller cons are Aya and her boring character development and cringy final speeches, buggy and clunky movement, the horse riding, the irrelevant MD story, weapons getting useless after you get legendary stuff etc.
