To be completely honest, this game was garbage upon release. Creative assembly is usually much more thorough in their work, however managed to let some very major flaws slip through this time. Most units are generic and until you get to the dragon units at the end of the game, you can win most battles with any decent assortment of troops.

Diplomacy is more important compared to previous releases such as Rome, and its easy to find yourself swamped by enemies; which is a welcome edition in my mind.

Some things have been improved such as how commanders work and what not, but there still needs to be somewhat of an overhaul for battles.

Regardless, I still recommend it and I believe CA will pull through... I just hope its soon.
