Honestly Redout 2 is great. As my friend put it, it's basically like going between F-Zero games; it's the same as the original Redout, but at the same time it isn't. Balancing health as a resource with the new boost mechanics feels really good, and there are some slamdunk bangers that we've heard in the soundtrack even at just a couple hours in. I feel like this is an easy recommendation for folks who enjoyed Redout or are new to the series.
