Performance is atrocious (3070ti). I knew the system recommendation were very sketchy. Skip for now. Edit: To add more context the game is essentially unplayable on high and near unplayable on low. They just released a statement saying they are confident in their recommended specs. This was argued from the beginning that they made no sense (the recommended specs) and they do NOT make any sense. There is something inherently wrong with the game be VERY careful with current reviews as they are more than likely running 5090s. Luckily the first area is an instant performance benchmark so within 2 hours for Steam Refund. I will keep my copy because under all the mess there is a good game.

As far as the combat goes this is it's own thing. Think of the adjusment you had to make when going from Dark Soul's to BloodBorne? Well, same adjustment here. There is no parry at the beginning and enemies rarely flinch so it feels like you're handicapped. ***UPDATED BELOW***

Last update because I've reached the point where things are just more of the same but more. This game's price reflects what this is, a rookie AA game.

1. Performance. This is important more than fps counting this is a you WILL drop combos because the game is broken. You will die and you will waste your time because of how bad the game runs. There is no world in which developers didn't know this game was broken.

2. Gameplay. Geez ok so imagine all the bad things from a Soul's game with no of the polish, well this is that. I will correct myself regarding my previous BB comment regarding adjustment. No, this is not that, and if this is that it shouldn't take you 1 playthru like reviewers are saying to get to that. Another reviewer here said it perfectly, you and the enemies are on a different address it's like the enemies were designed for NG+ as far as the tools. Like the developers designed the whole game with the main character maxed then took it all away for you to start the game.

When it comes to RPGs I had always been looking for the next Dark Cloud. Now I'll be looking to the next Fantasy Life i. Game is 10/10 in all regards. Even the multiplayer has been update and insanely fun, here's to 50 more hours and hopefully updates and DLC!

Essentially unplayable at anything less than a 5070. Crashed 4 times in the last 2 hours.

This game is tough to review because there are very few words other than "Perfect" that can really be used to describe this game. If you like BlazeBlue this is an absolute love letter to the series. Arcsys, these guys have shown love to your IP like no one else has. If you don't know anything about BlazeBlue its ok, no knowledge is needed, this is by far, like leagues and beyond the best roguelite on Steam.

A note to the devs. Be proud, you created something special.

Card-en-Ciel is a departure from Inti's usual outings. It mixes Megaman Battle Network's core gameplay and innovates in a way that makes you say this is "Next-gen" MMBN. Couple with Inti's usual stellar writing, humor and art style and this is easy an indie game of the year contender.

This is not an expansion. This should've been a free epilogue patch that is being sold for $30. AVOID.

Redemption achieved. Day 1 owner and after 3 years this game is finally what they promised. Must buy.
