Perhaps one of the cheapest games I have on steam, but it is by no means lacks in amusement.

The gameplay is very simple. navigate a 6 sided shape for 60 seconds. Like any gem this quirky title makes good use of the mechanics it presents you. The game complicates the formula with a combination of spinning movements, loud music, and (without ruining the surprise) little tricks to throw you off balance. Each difficulty expands on the last without resorting to the time honored tradition of "just spin it faster or something".

The design while minimalist is perhaps the best art style for such a minimalist game. The only depth they add is making variation of the color and patterns wide enough for each difficulty.

The music is electronic naturally, without being harsh or annoying. Each song has enough variation they have lasting listen value each time you go a round.

I would also say this game while addicting is great for people who have little time to play a game and need a fun time killer they can leave easily.

This game is definitely worth looking at, especially when it goes on sale (usually for about 50 cents).

Where some games appeal to the brain or heart this game seeks only your adrenal gland. Each map presents the player with a bright and engaging enviromental canvas to paint with the nigh neon color of criminal blood. This game is as brutal as it is bright, nearly every thing can kill you as easily as you can kill it. The array of masks can add to slow your near constant death cycle out increase challenge adding a layer of depth to the normally straight forward combat.

Speaking of, combat as mentioned above is fairly simple to grasp Kill or Be Killed. While most weapons are obvious: Guns and Pipes, sometimes you might find something surprising to lodge into the skull of the men unlucky enough to round a corner you're behind. Though I would be doing a misservice if I didn't mention that sometimes you die needlessly due to an excess of windows or an enemy, who had only been knocked down during a frenzied spray of bullets, bury his pipe in the back of your head. One other complaint being that on occasion the "predictable" enemies seemed to either be too dumb for their own good or suddenly gain the reaction time of Spider-man, though this sort of thing didn't happen enough to become more then a momentary annoyance

The story may not appeal to every one, it is rather then but provides all the motivation one needs to sprint about in a fury to get that one last kill for a combo. However, the story has its moments where it is a flawlass descent in to a bloody hysteria.

I chose this game to recommend for the interesting story, tight gameplay, but most of all because of its grim and brutal combat contrasted with a world alight with neon.

Early Access Review
I simply adore this game.

I enjoyed Terraria (A spiritual precursor to this game), though I would never call this a Terraria in space. While visually and basic gameplay it is very similar the additional content: random numerous worlds, random encounter, race options, space travel, and a canon universe make this game a whole other beast to itself as a stand alone experince. I have already pour 5 times the hours into Starbound.

I also love its art style, vibrant and lively. Eye candy is present in almost every planet, from fusha grassland plains to deserts of sky blue sand each landing is a new visual treat.

I strongly recommend this to anyone with a taste for combat, exploration, or just love of sandboxes
