I had a misconception about this game for a super long time after only trying it briefly once or twice since 2013 for an hour or two. I finally took the time to learn the modding and crafting which seemed too overwhelming at the start and I've fallen in love with the game.

Not only is there an insane amount of high quality content in this game, but it's also monetized extremely well. Hearing how the devs treat this game and it's community make me want to spend money on the game. Not because I need to, but because I WANT to. Everything can be earned in game for FREE. I'm sure most people when hearing that think "Okay yeah I've heard that, but that just means you need to spend 10,000 hours to get anything" which was my initial thought as well, but nope!

A vast majority of items in this game can be obtained for free with a very reasonable time investment. (There are some very end game items that you need to grind a lot for but that's expected in an MMO and you can go without them) I am often in shock finding out how well the devs monetized the game after coming from other poorly handled games. When you open the market and see you can buy weapons and frames for money, also look at the button below that where it tells you to buy the blueprint with in game currency (A very small amount) and it tells you how to craft it yourself. There is absolutely no need to spend money getting weapons or frames in this game.

I haven't spent any money on anything outside of boosters and cosmetics and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. The gameplay, both movement and combat, is extremely satisfying as well. The amount of content in this game provided completely for free is mind blowing to me. If you find the game at all interesting give it a shot! It takes some patience to learn things but it's all simple stuff, there's just a lot of it.

I found my experience with this game to be very similar to my experience with EVE Online. Very overwhelming at first but if you take the time to learn the game you'll find there's nothing else like it. If you wan't more detailed info look up some stuff on YouTube, I promise you this game is worth your time and patience. Also the story and world building is fantastic! Very fun game! I never got around to really trying it until recently when a couple of my friends were playing it. Amazing gunplay, movement, team comp, etc. Extremely solid FPS.

Very fun, not P2W.

The game is fun, has pretty good content both PvE and PvP, combat is a little clunky at first (And depending on your weapon setup) but once you understand how it works and practice it for a while it's quite satisfying, it could still use work though.

My main concern is in the end game, trying to upgrade / craft your BIS gear. I have a strong feeling that you will need to spend a lot of money. I haven't experienced it yet though, and I've heard as long as you're in a good guild that farms world bosses a lot you'll be okay spending little. For now my review is positive, might change later though once I have more experience.

Edit: I've now levelled 2 characters to 50, and have already begun grinding for my end game PvP gear. So far the grind is very obtainable, and I've even got a few thousand of the premium currency already from selling some traits off pieces of gear I got from dungeons I'm running. The social aspects of this game are so great! I'm still loving the game.

Terrible performance. Looks like a lot of fun but even with 40-60 fps there's crazy mouse input delay before it even starts moving the weapon.

Great game with great devs. Every moment is cinematic somehow. If you're reading reviews you're likely considering getting the game. Just do it.

I've seen EVE around online for as long as I can remember, though I never gave it a chance. I always looked up new player videos to get an idea of what It'd be like starting off and was always turned away by the insane complexity and depth of the game. I had an idea in my head of what the game was like and that idea wasn't interesting to me. However after watching the "Down The Rabbit Hole" YouTube video for EVE Online I was captivated by the stories and history of the game, so much so that I decided to finally give it a shot. After a few days I am absolutely loving everything about this game, there is much to learn but its not as hard to get into as I initially thought. You just need to be patient and take it in small steps. The history of wars fought between players and the way players have shaped the game is so fascinating to me and I hope to one day be a part of it. The amount of stuff you can do and the freedom you have in this game is like no other. I can't wait to play more!
