The reason why I bought this game was I was brought in by its unique art direction. Strong points in Felvidek are its stylisation from its low poly visuals and a monochromatic color scheme. The animations in combat are charming to watch, and the music sets a funky tone. These are all things on display in the game’s video teaser. Outside of its art direction I unfortunately didn't enjoy my time in the game. I was never shown how secular this game’s story and dialog are from the promo material. Felvidek’s story revolves around religion. You are christian knights in an area that follows the beliefs of the church. The game’s plot is driven by an Arab bringing in coffee, they are working with a cult made up of young people who are Zurvanists. But look out, this new coffee has a horned beast carved into the coffee beans and is turning people into monsters. This game really hates coffee to an odd extent. The game’s dialog is very 1400’s christian church oriented. It includes takes that are negative towards sex workers and brands homosexuals as heretics. The game complains that the youth follow different religious beliefs, and if only they had listened to their parent’s traditional beliefs they wouldn't be the bad guys who look different. There’s a fresco painting depicting the body of a woman, the in-game flavor text for the item is “This is no sight for a righteous christian.” I was thinking there was going to be a twist where the main character’s were the bad guys but that narrative turn never came.

Felvidek is $11 USD, that’s less than an hour of minimum wage work where I live. The game is also self published by the person who did the story, animation and visuals. Felvidek is a very unique auteur indie game that has had time and effort put into creating it. I apologize for punching down here.

I have no friends to play with and this game basically requires you play with people.

Fear & Hunger offers a very unique experience. It is incredibly unfriendly and harsh to the player but one gets a sense of accomplishment when succeeding from learning from past mistakes.
-Spent too much time in the first area of the game? You get attacked by incredibly strong guard dogs. When you retry you'll learn you can avoid them by going inside sooner.
-Been finding a ton of money while exploring? Hey go buy some potions from a shady merchant that came to this dungeon to make a profit. Oupps, all the potions are poison and damage you! Now you'll know not buy potions from that guy again.
This game's world is also very interesting and immersive in ways I haven't seen in other games. I've had a great time reading the in-game books and it's great seeing such interesting story telling in them. I can't recommend this game enough.

I got this game on sale for $3. I noticed a drop in quality after 2 hours of gameplay but hey I still got 2 hours of entertainment for the price of a cup of coffee so it's hard to not recommend.
I appreciate the game's setting in campy 80's environments. There is a definite aesthetic to enjoy here. The level design could use some work though. There was a sewer level that gave me a headache and the pyramid episode is just atrocious with it's never ending claustrophobic rooms and maze like hallways paired with tanky enemies that can bodyblock you into corner forcing you to restart the level.
There were definitely moments where the game shined through. The feeling of running around fast like sonic and blasting enemies left and right while avoiding their projectiles gave me that hit of dopamine that lead to the mass popularity of the boomer shooter genera 30 years ago. And hey, now we have the technology to look up and down!

In the game Minit you pick up a cursed sword that kills you every 60 seconds. You respawn with the tasks you completed remaining done but every quest requires you do in within a minute. Took me a couple hours to complete and was a nice little quirky adventure game that I found rather enjoyable and clever. The 60 second timer was useful in making me hyper focused on the game which was an interesting trick that Minit played on my gamer goblin brain.

I logged in thinking I'm going to play an army vs army pvp mmo and it's just a tutorial that goes on and on till apparently lvl 50. I'm stuck on this tutorial island killing animals and collecting eggs, I've had the same task multiple times, it's really redundant. I found a dock next to the main game land, jumped off and swam towards where the actual game is, ended up drowning but spawned on the main land! Was super exited until I teleported to the front lines of where my faction held territory to find it completely empty. No big pvp fights, no enemies, no nothing. I think this game might be seriously be a scam. I'll update this if I can actually find a pvp fight in this pvp mmo.

Early Access Review
I backed this game during the pre-order phase and played multiple of the beta tests. I do not recommend this game.
