K so Im about 15 hours in and so far?

Been pretty good,

Gameplay is great, environments look amazing, game runs surprisingly well despite my terrible CPU (Ryzen 7 2700x), and I've been playing on my Steam Deck OLED too where the game is also decent.

Ive seen people saying the story's bad but so far Im liking it more than Odyssey or Valhalla's,

Main problems are the english VA is as bad as everyone's saying, a friend of mine said it sounds like you're playing a Kung Pow! Enter The Fist game lmao,

You can turn Immersive Mode on so that Japanese characters speak Japanese and Portuguese NPCs will speak Portuguese, better that way.

Other than that while the environments look gorgeous, the character models are pretty bad,

The combat feels repetitive at first but as you start upgrading your skill trees it gets much better.

Not that far in still but gonna give it an 8/10 so far, pretty damn good,

Will change review accordingly if my thoughts change.

Yeah Starfield is a banger,

it's got issues, performance for example and sometimes dated-looking graphics,

Is it GOTY? Nah

Is it a great game? Yeh

But apart from that? Most of the hate is either from console warriors, people with rigs from 12 years ago, or people who've had their brains rotten by TikTok so they play 30 minutes, get frustrated at the early game, and go back to watching jingling keys on Youtube, or I guess people seething about pronouns lmao,

Imo Starfield is better than Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, and it is infinitely better than Obsidian's latest steaming pile of crap "The Outer Worlds"

You want my advice? It's 2023 and almost every big new game will get hated on,

Let the clowns seethe, and play it yourself, it's pretty damn good.

Okay, time to change my review from a negative to a positive, the devs have implemented some changes which make queue times alot more acceptable and the game itself a bit more stable,

and when it comes to the actual game itself, yeah it's pretty damned good.

Tight combat, decent progression systems, characters are rather fun to use, game looks nice.

My biggest issues are the optimization, it's a rather stuttery game, and the game also has a decent amount of bugs but that's what EA's for.

Thanks devs and shoutout to Snarf and SOLIDAge on the official Discord, two community managers who've had to deal with some lovecraftian amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Okay, I was a little hesitant to get this game even on sale because people say it's worse than BL3, which is one of the worst games I have ever played...

Ended up getting it.

I am not sure what y'all are smoking, but Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is MILES better than BL3,

"Oh Borderlands 3 has so much more content than Tiny Tina's Wonderlands" Mate the content in Borderlands 3 is utterly dreadful so I'm not sure already how that's a good thing? Anyways.

-The story is better than BL3,

-The humour is WAYY better, it's still not that funny but I havent smiled even a single time playing BL3 so that's that,

-Characters are less cringe than BL3, they're still cringe, but not as bad as BL3,

-Tiny Tina's VA work is, as usual, pretty stellar, which is good because you'll be hearing her talk the entire game,

-Graphics are... Well they're fine honestly,

-The new mechanics are cool as ♥♥♥♥

Now it DOES have issues:

-Game is WAAAAY too easy, even on highest difficulty, it's not even funny, I have not met a single enemy that truly posed a threat to me in any way shape or form,

-This one's subjective I guess, but the game suffers from a very... "Neo-liberal" humour, what I mean by this is, expect lots of Eat the rich, respect pronouns, communism is good, everyone in the game is LGBT I am not joking about this,

Which is made especially ironic when you remember Randy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Pitchford is at the helm, but then again, this isn't very surprising, these kinds of people usually have skeletons in their closets.

-Buttstallion... For the love of god Gearbox I am on my KNEES begging you to leave that joke in BL2, it was kinda funny once, get over it.

I could go on more about it all but eh,

I'd say the game is a decent 7/10, which compared to BL3 which is like a 3/10, is a massive improvement
