Mouthwashing is good, and I would recommend it.

However, although the message of the story is very important and heavy, I feel as if it conveys it too simply.
I'm not sure; maybe that's a good thing as it is easy to understand.
I also think Swansea and Daisuke are completely one dimensional and are wasted characters.

I am filled with joy when I honk my horn and my teammates honk back.
I am filled with rage when I play a DD and my enemy uses their 9km hydro.

AND I CANNOT GET AWAY, I CAN'T ESCAPE, ARE WE AWAKE? OH I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE.
AND I'M LOSING ALL MY SENSES EVERY TIME I MAKE ADVANCES, SO WHAT ARE WE GOOD FOR?
WE'RE SO MINDLESS, IN PURSUIT OF A GOOD ENDING WHEN WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT EVEN FEELS LIKE.
I CAN HARDLY TELL IF I AM EVEN BREATHING AT THIS RATE, ARE WE ALIVE OUT OF SPITE?

In the time I played (~1 hour), I was not impressed, particularly because of the price tag and what you get from it.

EZ2ON REBOOT : R is like Tetris Effect; you're paying for the same 4k / 7k / whatever but with visuals in the background for £38 (~$50) at full price AND >£130 (>$160) in DLC (WTF!?).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Most beatmaps are mediocre / good at best and some are conventionally bad. (of the ones I played, I'm sure there are a couple great ones behind £130 of DLC (lol))

Different game-modes are split into four types, basic, standard (unlocked at lvl.10 (took me about 20 - 30 mins so why bother adding the level wall anyway??)), multiplayer, and courses.
- Basic and standard are identical (basic has more forgiving health)
- Multiplayer is dead (besides 1 lobby of Koreans who only played DLC maps (you are only allowed to spectate if you don't own the map))
- Courses are just standard mode but you play four maps back to back (wow so innovative!).

^ I don't know why they bothered making any of these besides standard and multiplayer. ^

The storepage insists the audio and visuals are "remastered" but both the songs and background videos look and sound like something straight out of 2007, dated animations of anime girls running around and old trance techno loops was a common background idea for a lot of tracks I saw / had access to, which are sometimes quite obnoxiously distracting (you can dim the background though so I don't really care).

There is also no set "mood" or "theme" for the genre of music included in the base game that I could tell at least, which is off-putting to find songs you at least somewhat enjoy. In the time I played I saw Hip-Hop, Jazz, Trance, generic anime music and Christmas remix music (lol what?).
By default the game also displays all of your songs along with unowned DLC songs so your music list is actually <1/10th of what it appears to be at first glance.

As you're playing, pressing keys plays the instruments in the song which is kind of cool I guess, but the MIDI instruments suck in quite a few of them, if you haven't heard a song before it sounds like a bunch of noise even if you're getting the 'Kool' (Perfect) rating on all of the notes, especially with how often some songs like to swap the instrument you're 'playing' every 5 seconds.

This game wants to be fun, 4k / 7k / whatever rhythm games ARE fun, but why should I pay ~£200 to get the """DJMAX Collaboration Quantum Complex CODENAME VIOLET TIME TRAVELLER PRESTIGE PASS""" experience when I can play half a dozen games with hand picked music I love FOR FREE?

+ The game also requires you to be online constantly to play even if you never pick multiplayer

++ How is a game like this 60GB???

The Song of Saya, through intense and powerful writing, creates an interesting horror premise, and disguises itself as something intrinsically twisted yet horrifyingly captivating, only to constantly squander its juxtaposed concept by reminding the reader of its truly pure-degenerate nature and origin through the use of lacklustre and, in-all-honesty, revolting themes as plot points. It is likely one of the most ironic flaws in any narrative ever written. It is no wonder that it is "known as one of the most messed-up games ever released.".

You will not miss out on much by skipping this ""masterpiece"", as a lot of the hateable and nauseating acts conducted by both characters throughout the story are not even committed with good reason plot-wise, and are instead simply included to cater towards obscene degenerate-fantasy and mere shock-value, one of the lowest forms of horror. Which is a shame, as this is meant to be a homage to Lovecraftian novels; rather, it is a plain and romanticised pseudo-intellectual portrayal of how a shallowly-written man will cling to the first sign of sanity he sees.

I do not believe you are a morally righteous person if you even mildly enjoy any aspect of this games story and the themes it essentially glorifies, you should be put on a watch list if you do so. I will be removing this stain on the internet from my account out of disgust.
