The Rocky Horror Show Video Game is not only a mouthful name, for which you'll need a different set of jaws, but also quite a trip, and yes, the kind where you get caught with a flat (how 'bout that?). It has wonderfully crafted 8-bit graphics and chiptune renditions of all the legendary songs.
But enough about all that, how's the gameplay? It's a game after all! Tell us about it, Janet!

The gameplay is fine, it's a very basic, classic side-scroller. The level design is surprisingly not a hunting lodge for rich weirdos but rather a well-designed platforming adventure. Although nothing that will make your face ache from smiling, I'm afraid. It's quite hard, I'll give them that. You'll receive your death in abundance!
Brad can only survive a single hit, while both Janet and Dr. Scott are insta-deaths. Thankfully the game auto-saves quite often so you won't catch yourself wishing you were among friends... or sane persons!
Now, the bosses, on the other hand, are quite the wild and untamed things, like bees with deadly stings! For me, they were the highlight of the game. Hard, but not to the point where you feel like you're crawling on the planet's face, like some insects, called the Human Race.

The only real negative I found in this game is its length. From the moment you see a light over at the Frankenstein's place, it will take you around 1 hour and 30 minutes to Time Warp through the entire game, leaving you aching to experience this erotic nightmare beyond any measure for much longer.

This hot patootie truly blessed my soul and I really loved its Rock N'Roll.
Short and sweet, that's how I'd describe this game. A true love letter to RHPS fans. The price might be a bit steep for such a short journey but remember, there's no crime in giving yourself over to pleasure.
It might not be for everyone, but hey, if you dislike it, well... they didn't make IT for YOU !!


P.S. if you're an indie dev, I'm sure the RHPS fandom would love to see more gaming projects come out of this franchise. Official or unofficial. Remeber, don't just dream it, BE IT!
