Botched re-release.
They removed features from the game such as couch party, gamemodes and certain keybind and control options.
They made grinding for characters (or anything at all) much worse, and you cant even try the characters out in training like you used to.

Guys will look at something like this and say "Hell yeah!"

Price increase from 20$ to 40$ lmao.

7 Years of waiting was well worth it.
Both story and arena mode are very well fleshed out with many hours of gameplay.

My Favourite in the Genre, spent hundreds of hours on Origin before it launched on Steam.

Im so glad the game got the recognition it deserved. All it needed was a steam release. A great single player experience that is worth the prce tag all by itself and multiplayer that offers many of hours of entertainment. Everyone praises the movement system and they are 100% correct as it offers so much, both the platforming sections in the campaign that utilise all sorts of hazards and contraptions to the vast amount of different approaches that you are given in multiplayer makes every match feel different. I love the change of pace from being a super mobile pilot just zooming around the playfield to entering a giant robot machine of doom and burning everything on your path.

Short game duration, spanning around 3-4 hrs. Personally I love short and sweet games that can be finished in one playthrough. Id reccomend getting this full price only if this is the genre that you enjoy, otherwise wait for sale.
Combat feels very fluent, being a close combat reaction based game and a bullet hell. All bosses have widely different movesets keeping all encounters unique. I liked going back into the game just to fight bosses and optimize my strategy.
Story wise, you dont start with much, you dont even know your name as youre simply called the "stranger" but everything quickly unfolds.
Soundtrack is also PHENOMENAL!
