This is a game I will be thinking about for many years to come. Incredibly though-provoking, moving story telling. This is one of those games you just need to play. Few games have made me cry; this one did.

Updates everything that was great about the first game and adds even more, including stuff from Risk of Rain 2. Don't like the additions? You can play with them turned off, so its just like the original release.

Best part? Co-op actually works now, no port forwarding required!

Still can't believe this made it over here after the original games' localisation was changed to take place in San Fransokyo.

Well animated game with a gripping story.

If you like 999 or Dang Grandpa, then you'll love this game!

It may look simple (only two buttons) at first, but this rhythm game is addicting and fun to play. The notes match the music perfectly and the stages themselves match the theme of the music. Each unlockable character has a different playstyle and bonuses. Even the base game has a large selection of songs, but the DLC has even more.

I wholeheartedly recommend this game. Keyboard is preferable for quicker notes in songs.

The custom song mod for this game completely changes the dynamic of how you play it. I don't even play the original songs anymore. Just don't play any random maps. Play the highest rated and most played maps as well as following beatmap creators you like. The way the songs flow in the best made maps is an incredible feeling.

Don't be fooled by how this game looks. This goes above and beyond what most JRPGs do and creates a very realistic world that feels lived in. The game starts out slow but soon you get invested in your characters and your "job" in the world. If Chapter 1 doesn't grab you, and you aren't interested in seeing the rest of the world after that (like seeing the ocean or the academy) then maybe this game isn't for you.

Wow, this game becomes pretty addictive once you get going with it. It has a "one more day" type play where you just get into a rhythm of waking up, feeding your slimes, and collecting their precious poop before setting off for an adventure.

For those concerned about this being in early access, it already has a complete gameplay loop. Each new update just brings new areas and slimes to play with. Case in point, the latest "Slime Science" update that adds a new ranch expansion allowing higher level ranchers to do more than just sell their plorts - now they can craft stuff and collect resources to craft more stuff! It also added collectibles around the world to find.

Highly recommended.
